In reply to: [WooCommerce] Woocommerce Automated Taxes – Outdated TaxJarHi, I appreciate the response but it doesn’t seem you’ve understood that we have Automated Taxes setup, and the tax that is being applied is 4% (only the state tax, excluding the county tax). Tax Jar is advising that they return the correct tax of 7% inclusive and this is the rate we are expecting at the point taxes are calculated by woocommerce. Please see my images above, they provide details.
In Woocommerce Settings => TAX => Tax Options => Automated Taxes is set to ENABLE AUTOMATED TAXES.
“Automated taxes take over from the WooCommerce core tax settings. This means that “Display prices” will be set to Excluding tax and tax will be Calculated using Customer shipping address.?“
We don’t use TaxJar as a separate plugin, we use the integrated automated tax provided by woocommerce itself.

This is now resolved.
Got it. Thank you.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Woocommerce Automated Taxes – Outdated TaxJarHi,
I received a response from TaxJar:
“…a 7% rate is in fact most accurate. I attached screenshots of the calculators you used and our system showing 7%….”
Please see image. On the order admin area, when an order is being created, even though a full address is set and in woocommerce settings the tax is set to calculate on shipping address, the system still only applies a 4% rate, not the 7% as taxJar provides when a complete address is specified.

Regards,
Understood. I’ll do a bit more digging and check our css; going to mark this as resolved for now. I appreciate you checking on it and responding extremely quickly.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Woocommerce Automated Taxes – Outdated TaxJarI see no response, thus, I have written to TaxJar directly about this issue. Due to taxes being live on sites, the issue collects tax less than is actually required, causing a similar incident as is documented in Woocommerce about California and Texas in 2019.
I assume that woocommerce has not considered using a more reliable tax service API, such as Avalara? Considering this is documented as a common issue, in both directions (less tax collected or more tax collected) using taxjar seems to be more a problem than a solution.

Hi, I removed other products to make this easier.
- The shop page: https://infinity-staging.infinityfreeapp.com/shop/ – You can see that the variation options when using quickview don’t work
- The product details page: https://infinity-staging.infinityfreeapp.com/product/test/ – You can see variations works now
- On the product detail page: https://infinity-staging.infinityfreeapp.com/product/test/ – You can see that when you set pictures using the gallery from woocommerce, you can select pictures but they show blank except for the main image
You can see the issue under the test product here: https://infinity-staging.infinityfreeapp.com/
Never mind. The damn option was set wrong for Type.
