In reply to: [Minimatica] Want 5 posts in slider of Minimatica – how?Don′t be scared to go into the code – this one is easy!
Open the following file:
wp-content/themes/minimatica/functions.phpGo to line 139
where you see $query->set( ‘posts_per_page’, ‘4’ );
Simply change the number 4 to 5.
That should do it.

In reply to: [Minimatica] [Theme: Minimatica] Need to add text on home pageThe problem is that if you want to add a chunk of main content text into the homepage using a text widget in the footer, you can′t use this as a proper footer anymore.
The way I have done it is to add all the text (and using any HTML code you like) in home.php – see the result here: https://www.picturelanzarote.com
And I can still use my footer too! ??

In reply to: [Floating Menu] Code To Manually Add to php.footervalprocreative, I have the same kind of problem on a site I′m building, but remix4′s suggestion of putting it in as a footer widget worked like a charm. ??
Hi sparklogix, I have the same problem. Am using the Mingle theme and am also still looking for a solution…
UPDATE: Have since found that *new* posts actually work, after setting the share image to “use from post” – it′s only old posts that it doesn′t work with.

In reply to: Cannot move or edit widgetsHi again, people. I have now done a total backup of everything and have reinstalled WP and am slowly rebuilding the site as it was (not too bad going cause everything pretty much was in my backed up database, and now I just have to re-upload all the photos, images and plugins etc.).
I don′t know if this is important, but during the above process I came across my .htaccess file and noticed that it had been re-written by one of the plugins that I had installed previously (Bullet Proof Security) but then had uninstalled again. This was a leftover from that plugin and I wonder if *that* could have been the cause of my problem, in retrospect?
Anyways, I am on the way to recovering the site and my widget page is working as it should now. Thanks for all your suggestions, they were much appreciated (even if they didn′t sort out the problem). ??

In reply to: Cannot move or edit widgetsOuch. I have a LOT of widgets/text etc. to lose, damn. And I can′t even go into them at the moment to copy them.
Let me leave that as the last option….

In reply to: Cannot move or edit widgetsAdded Firebug, but I just see a lot of red writing, but don′t know what to do with it or how to understand what is happening…
I′m at the point now where I want to just backup everything and do a completely new installation of WP and then import all my data again and see if that fixes the problem…. actually, I shall try that! I will create a new folder with a fresh WP install and then import all my stuff…. and see what happens. :O

In reply to: Cannot move or edit widgetsSorry, but jQuery and javascript stuff is way over my head.
Is Firebug easy to use for the layman? I′m just a web designer not a programmer, only know HTML & CSS and basic PHP and SQL database management… would someone like me have a clue what to look for using Firebug?

In reply to: Cannot move or edit widgetsHi esmi, not trying to be rude, but did you read what I wrote above? I already tried that. ??
(and that actually meant to say “I tried the 1st **3** options already…” btw, and now have tried the 4th you suggested too)

In reply to: Cannot move or edit widgetsLike I said above: Firefox, Safari and IE9 all didn′t work. Cleared my cache too… nothing. ??
Just tried it on my laptop (i.e. another computer), same problem still.
