And, to group image in gallery lightbox you can use data rel attribute on the link.

The size of the image used in the lightbox depends on the gallery/grid plugin you are using. So, you should take a look at the settings of your gallery/grid plugin. If you use WordPress images or gallery shortcode/block it will open the full resolution.

To use ModuloBox with JIG, you simply need to enable an option in ModuloBox settings panel. And, thumbnails can be enabled/disabled directly from ModuloBox settings.

In order to make it work, you need to use WordPress images or Gallery or one of the compatible plugin with ModuloBox.
Under general Panel of the plugin you can setup to which element(s) ot attach the lightbox: https://theme-one.com/modulobox/documentation/?guid=6&mid=1
ModuloBox will open images that have a link with the image url.
So, you need to link to Media file on your image blocks for example.

The gallery used on the website demo is the native WordPress Gallery shortcode (or Gutenberg gallery block).
ModuloBox can replace this gallery with a Justfified layout. Adding an overlay requires some CSS code (with pseudo element). There isn’t any option for the Gallery display in ModuloBox. Because ModuloBox is the lightbox which opens on click.

So, you got support from the developer.

On the page url you provided, there isn’t any (native) WordPress Gallery shortcode. It seems that you are using JetPack gallery. And, only the premium version of ModuloBox is compatible with JetPack galleries.

The free version of ModuloBox offers support for WordPress single image and Gallery Shortcodes. Only the premium version offers support for NextGen Gallery plugin.
