The issue is fixed in the new theme version.

You can download the updated theme version with the custom page template “No title”. Select this template for your homepage. Please, see the screenshot https://take.ms/ws8Pk

Thank you for choosing my theme.
If you wish to remove the underscore for homepage only, you can add this custom style

.home .divider-line {
display: none;
}

You can use this simple plugin to add custom styles https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/simple-custom-css/

Also it is possible to add a custom page template to remove the heading completely, I’ll include it in the next theme update.
