woolfcom, I have no interest in emotionally blackmailing anyone. I did not think it would be appropriate to get into detail about my personal circumstances and I still don’t. Suffice to say I cannot and will not put your concerns above my life. As I’ve stated there are other options for business directory plugins. In responding to the OP my hope was that I could remind users of my plugin or any other for that matter that there are human beings behind these products not machines and sometimes life interferes with our best intentions. I was not seeking sympathy but simply endeavoring to get across the need to respect that I am not able to update the plugin at this time due to pressing financial and other personal issues.

Having read your post I think you are quite right about what you’ve implied. Perhaps the development of such products ought to be left to established businesses or at least to persons who can afford to upkeep them.

scoc, without publishing my entire life story here I would like you to know that I have real life issues that prevent me from doing anything with the plugin at this time. I have posted on the plugin site that I will be unavailable indefinitely. Personal health and financial matters make it impossible for me to prioritize the plugin right now.

There are other business directory plugins so if this one is not working for you it might be a good idea for you to use another one because it could be another couple of months before I am able release an update.

faboulaws, your complaints have been noted. I apologize but I cannot assist with support at this time. I would recommend using another plugin if you cannot use this one with the present limitations. I have every intention of improving it but that is not possible right now.

scoc, I don’t believe my last post was 6 months ago. In fact I know that is not the case if you’re talking about posts on the support website. If you are talking about posts here, this is not where I handle support for the plugin. I will confess that it is extremely distressing given the difficulty I have personally had in keeping up with the plugin due to lack of user support to read that users would be willing to donate to a freelancer but not to the individual who took the time to develop the product. Perhaps I am being overly sensitive in light of my own personal financial struggles but it does seem somehow odd and a bit hurtful to the ego to read your suggestion above. Especially at this time while I have had to take time off from support for the past month entirely due to lack of funds.

elderberry, I have been programming for over a decade however I do it as a hobby and am the first to disclaim any expertise. While I have created a number of applications that are widely used and do my best to support them, I am indeed not a programmer in any trained professional sense of the word. As to the issues you are having with the plugin, as I have stated on the plugin support site I am not available at this time to assist with fixes. I have some things going on that must take priority. I will resume development of the plugin as soon as I am able. In the meantime there are some other business directory plugins available that you can use. I haven’t tried any other than my own myself so I cannot recommend any in particular but I do know there are several and at least one with a significantly larger user base than mine.

ldaniels looks like it did seriously fail for you there from that screenshot. Sorry about the hassle of having to clean up the mess and thanks for posting the report.

crimay71, yes, the plugin is set to prevent you from displaying emails publicly on your site as this is not a good practice and a sure way of getting your users spammed. To override the restriction you will have to edit the code

@snails, if you’re still wrangling with this problem, does your theme use the usual get_header(); call to display the theme header?

@hdias, regarding the posts display issue, where can I see a visual of the problem? If you don’t want to post your URL you can send it to me via the contact form on the plugin website

@hdias, you should download the plugin files to your PC and use a text editor to edit.

jstizzle1 do you mean the sticky listing upgrade feature? After a user submits their listing and it has been approved they should see an Upgrade Listing button (when logged in) as long as you have Offer Sticky Listings checked under Configure/Manage Options

@akingston47, sorry for taking so long to answer. I’ll see about the upgrade issue as it’s likely to cause a hassle for everyone who makes custom changes to the css file having those changes overwritten with ever upgrade. It shouldn’t be a hassle to have the plugin check for a custom css file outside of the plugin directory. I’ll see if the same can be done for the template files found in the posttemplates folder. This way you will be able to change the category layout without losing your changes when you update. Since its something that can benefit everyone I have no problem changing it.

@ovidiu, don’t know if you’re still trying to sort this out. If you are still having a problem can you please let me know if the problem is with the most recent version of the plugin? Also, is our WP installed at root or at root/wp?
