I apparently picked a bad day to try out NextGen Gallery. Lots of bugs.
I’m having a similar problem, except that the spinner never resolves.
I’ve tried this on Safari 5.1.7 (on a Mac), IExplorer 8.0.6001.18702 (on Windows XP), and Firefox 14.0.1 (on Windows XP). It seems to work with Firefox. The other two, no luck.
