  • I had the issue where the image would not load on a Woo page. It would display when the mouse was hovered only. I followed the advice above and turned of Lazy Load and Image Accelerator in JetPack and problem solved

Hi… I installed Elementor Pro and suddenly the Widget Panel would not load when I tried to start a new template.

I was told to disable all plugins and enable one by one. HOW ANNOYING who has time. Fortunately, the first one I disabled fixed it – bbPress.

Also, I contacted my hosting company and asked them to check the Elementor requirements here: https://docs.elementor.com/article/38-requirements

They did this (copied from the chat):

Ok I just implemented this here for elementor in the wp-config.php file and purged caches

    define( 'WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '512M' );
    define( 'WP_MAX_MEMORY_LIMIT', '512M' );

    Hope this helps

    Hi,

Thanks. Where would I look in the theme to correct this? It is a custom theme based off of Twenty_Eleven template.

We also have a custom Meta box (https://www.deluxeblogtips.com/meta-box) that also displays as blank after this update. I suspect it may be related to this issue. And I sincerely hope that it has not caused us to lose all our info. ??

Here is a list of files in the template:

    Templates
    404 Template (404.php)
    archive-product.php
    Archives (archive.php)
    Comments (comments.php)
    content-404.php
    content-page.php
    content-single-product.php
    content-single.php
    content-testimonial.php
    content.php
    Footer (footer.php)
    front-page.php
    Theme Functions (functions.php)
    Header (header.php)
    shop-cart.php
    theme-functions.php
    theme-meta-boxes.php
    theme-options.php
    theme-script-style.php
    theme-taxonomies.php
    theme-user-info.php
    theme-user-level.php
    theme-widgets.php
    Main Index Template (index.php)
    login-form.php
    lostpassword-form.php
    With Sidebar Page Template (page-sidebar.php)
    Weekly Page Page Template (page-weekly.php)
    Page Template (page.php)
    register-form.php
    Search Results (search.php)
    Search Form (searchform.php)
    products-post.php
    subcategory.php
    sidebar-right.php
    Sidebar (sidebar.php)
    Single Post (single.php)
    taxanomy.php
    Styles
    Stylesheet (style.css)
    ie.css

All in One SEO worked fine with our current theme. Only after updating WP to 3.9.1 did this problem start happening.

Also, is there a list of plugins that cause this issue?

THANKS to the great support I got from NextGen, the site is fixed, running WP 9 + latest NextGen and also NextGen Pro. After trying a few suggestions from the exceedingly helpful Erick, their developer looked at it and fixed it.

Here is what I learned about the issue: When all else fails, use the RESET button at Gallery > Other Options > Misc. > Reset
That should solve any issues, although you will have to reset any default options that you changed. If this does not work, then email NextGen and they will run a test and possibly a different reset function.

NOTE: Clicking RESET does not affect the galleries, images or gallery displays. It restores NextGen settings to default values and should fix any outstanding errors.

The explanation: Developer re-upgraded NextGen to 2.0.65 and ran a reset tool to reset all the settings including visible settings in the options panel + non-visible database settings. Then he did a reset on my site to re-adjust global settings to what they were prior to the reset. There was a corruption in the database for unknown reasons, so he made adjustments to the reset functionality, then reset the options to match the server and domain.

In answer to esmi, I like to wait a bit before rushing to every single WP upgrade. The site can be working fine, do an upgrade and then it doesn’t work with plugins, etc. My primary function is web content, so I prefer to see if there are any complaints before every update. And I’m not a programmer!

The theme is custom. It had no issues with anything else. I did all that stuff with the plugins disabled, etc.

ANYWAY. I write here to say that THANKS to the great support I got from NextGen, the site is fixed, running WP 9 + latest NextGen and also NextGen Pro. After trying a few suggestions from the exceedingly helpful Erick, their developer looked at it and fixed it.

I did submit a support request. I guess you can see how helpful that was. Don’t be all patronising to a paying customer just because your “upgrade” has messed up the site. Furthermore, the question that I asked is still not answered, by your support nor on here. I don’t need anyone to tell me to turn on plugins and turn them off, nor try to persuade me that a product works when I know it doesn’t. I need to know which version of 2.0 has the least complaints. That is all. If that does not work then clearly no one in their right mind will spend more time on this, we would just have to do something else that is less of a headache, and request a refund for NextGen Pro which does not work right now either. Don’t tell me not to complain when I ask one simple question and cannot get one simple answer. It was better when no one was responding.

We had to downgrade and now it’s still not working properly. Our theme causes no problems elsewhere nor prior to “upgrading”.

Now we have to find a working solution. It’s been real.

Wow these WordPress forums are so helpful.

I was also wondering about this.

I admin the website but the resumes need to be emailed directly to someone else in HR. These people do not have time nor ability to log in and get the info.

How can we get the info to be emailed directly instead of having to log into the website?

    Hello,

I am also finding that the “related” posts are completely random.

Are you using tags to correlate the articles? I am not sure how to make it pick the right related content and leave out the unrelated.

    (@thenewbreed)

All I know is that the site was working, then we installed that plugin and it broke the template. I went thru the whole list of plugins to enable and disable to see which one was causing it. When I disabled this one, the site worked. When I enabled it, it broke again.

So now I gave up, sorry.

I also find that the related posts are random, and change when page is refreshed. I set it to “High” and still, posts about fish have bread and babies as related content. There are no correlated tags nor anything in the title that would make this happen.

This issue was solved by deactivating “NGG Public Image Uploader”.

That plugin was installed to allow users to log in from the front-end and upload images to a NextGen gallery. Instead, we got that error “No valid template” in every instance where a gallery should show up. Additionally, it broke the template.

    WordPress 3.6.1.
    NextGen Version 2.0.33

I overrode the settings and it does not work.

I am not able to change over to allowing Titles and Body, and also not even 1 page or post is showing even 1 related post.

Installation was as normal, it just does not work.
