And unchecked “Allow link notifications from other blogs (pingbacks and trackbacks)”

Is that the only place? And what about:

“Attempt to notify any blogs linked to from the article”

Apparently it was a host related issue. I called the host a few times before finally getting someone familiar with WordPress. I can’t tell you what he did but whatever it was, it worked!

Well, I don’t know why but today it actually seems to be working. I’ve gotten a couple of subscription notices anyway. If you could, I’ve deleted your account, can you try one more time to register and let me know if you get a password? Thanks so much!

Talking with support. The guy put a script on the server and that worked so he says the problem is not with the server.

Yes, I activated it. And I finally found it and sent a test email. Nothing.

Is this supposed to be this hard to set up? Does everybody have this much trouble? I’m EXTREMELY frustrated right now and I’m about to switch to something else. This is supposed to be the best but not if it doesn’t work. And waiting for answers? Three days I’ve been on this and have gotten nowhere.
