Thanks for the response. I do not get any errors in the UI when I download or extract the zip files. We are running the following versions:

WP: 4.5.4
NG Download Gallery: 1.5.2

When do you think you will push a new release that will include that new code?

It appears that the issue no longer affecting our site. We had not made any changes to our site that would have prompted the issue. The last change that we made was 3 days ago when we updated the plugin. However, the galleries worked fine after the last NextGEN update. I will monitor my site and report any further issues. At this point everything seems to be fine.

Any ideas on how to capture this issue if and when it occurs again?

Thanks for the help. We were able to resolve the issue. It stemmed from incorrect folder permissions.

Thanks for the response. I cleared browser cache and reloaded the page, but the issue still remains. Through troubleshooting my site over the past two days I have reviewed all of my plugins and removed a few that were unnecessary. I am open to ideas for troubleshooting the javascript conflict that you described above.

I realized that we were not using another plugin created by another author, ‘NextGEN Download Gallery.’ When I uninstalled it, my downloads behaved as expected. No more 0 KB files. Thanks for your help.

It appears that I have the same issue as stated above by GermanSC.
Was the issue ever resolved?
I will be glad to submit a bug report or provide additional information if needed.
