In reply to: [Bento] Bento 1.8.1 seems to break a custom functionYes, the error was only shown after the upgrade with the modified functions.php file.
Yes, the site is now running correctly, even with the custom functions.I agree that I should use a child theme and this error helps to change my approach. Thanks for reminding me to it ??

In reply to: [Bento] Bento 1.8.1 seems to break a custom functionThanks for your confirmation that in version 1.8.1 no changes have been applied that would cause the behavior I experienced.
So, I created a clone of my site, removed the custom functions at the end of functions.php, updated the theme and inserted the custom functions again.
The file was updated correctly (previous times saving the file gave a syntax error).
Just upgraded my production site and also there it’s working again.
The difference with my previous attempts: I removed now the custom functions before upgrading the theme. Thanks again!

In reply to: [GDPR] Setting privacy preferences dismisses popupI see the same behavior. The save works as an agree, which might be a bug.

In reply to: [Memphis Documents Library] Upload front end not working with Google ChromeYes, the problem is still there in 3.9.1.
The red Upload button is displayed on the right side of the frame in Chrome (opposite to the other browsers on the left side). Clicking it opens the form. The form’s header is saying “loading…” instead of “Add document”.
The form’s button above the footer is built only half, without any text in it.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Memphis Documents Library] Upload front end not working with Google ChromeNo Javascript errors or errors in system logs.
If you need specific info, just let me know!As always, there could be a combination of theme and/or plugins causing this problem.
So I installed a test site with theme Twenty Seventeen and only Memphis Docs.
With this site I didn’t have the problem.Having said that, I’m using theme Bento and a bunch of essential plugins.
The fact that 2 other browser don’t have this problem might point to a minor problem with Chrome.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Memphis Documents Library] Upload shortcode missing in shortcode manualYes, I know.
My remark is regarding the direction to the shortcode manual under options (in the Admin settings of the plugin), where it is missing. Thanks anyway on behalf of new users, it took me some time before I found it ??

In reply to: [Memphis Documents Library] Can I add files from WP Media Library to Memphis? Thanks, yes: I like the version control in Memphis.
I do understand that Memphis has its own environment, separated from WP.Here is the use case:
We do get documents through different ‘channels’ like uploads in a forum, uploads by authors in their posts and pages, etc. All these files are stored in the WP Media library. It would be great to have the option in Memphis to import (or link) files from the Media library into Memphis (because of versioning and a better taxonomy).
Once a file is modified and a new version is created and approved, that version should overwrite the original in the Media library. In that way all ‘parents’ of that file always will display the latest approved version of a document without the need to find out in which pages or posts the document needs to be replaced.
