I am experiencing the same thing on our site https://theology.news. We use wordpress.com’s hosting and are a news aggregate site. We pull academic journal table of contents from publishers when new publications drop and post them on our site, we then try to use Jetpack to push the new posts out to Facebook/Twitter. Especially on Facebook, Jetpack will post the item twice….
If you look at our page facebook.com/theologynews you will see that a recent announcement from University of St. Andrews is double posted.
