In reply to: [12 Step Meeting List] Plug-in too picky with “Online Meeting” typeI need to request adding “https://sites.google.com/view/somestring” to the validated conference providers. Thanks!
Requiring memberships sounds like a useful approach but I wonder what that opens us up to with trolls either spoofing accounts or hacking them?
We’re talking about possible having a limited number of beginner meetings that hotline volunteers could direct new people to and that would be staffed by experienced 12th Steppers. Similar to some groups having a separate newcomers table.
The remainder of the meetings could then have limited access, either by requiring and account or by passwords passed around amongst home group members.

In reply to: [12 Step Meeting List] Bulk editing and re-importingI know that scope creep is the enemy of a good project, but it would be helpful to have options for bulk removal of “Online” type and possibly for vacating the meeting URL and dial-in fields.
@degrees57 – Brilliant and simple – thanks!

In reply to: [12 Step Meeting List] Planned Plugin ChangesMaintaining an association with a physicla location is helpful for people looking for a specific group, like “Saturday Beginners Group” that is in Beaverton.
We tried keeping a spreadsheet going at the same time we added online info to the TSML but it got really unwieldy as it grew, not to mention double work for staff (me).

In reply to: [12 Step Meeting List] Notes Section: Clickable linksLimited grasp of code here, but I’ve downloaded the aa-berlin-addons plugin and uploaded to the plugins folder but no love. Tried zipping and using the automated install process but it gave “no valid plugin found” message. Reading through the files there are references to custom WP blocks – you know if this doesn’t play well with page builders? We’re using SiteOrigins PageBuilder, haven’t been using the stock WP Gutenberg block editor.

In reply to: [12 Step Meeting List] Assign “Temporary Closure” flag to locationWe’re running into the same things, so I will second this suggestion.

In reply to: [12 Step Meeting List] Mapbox Maps not ResponsiveAnother data point, FWIW: MapBox maps work fine with TSML on iPhone; site uses WordPress SiteOrigin North theme with PageMaker plugin.

In reply to: [12 Step Meeting List] No map produced for new entriesI tried deactivating the firewall (WordFence) and that didn’t make any difference. It occurred to me that I should try entering a new meeting – maybe there was something defective (?) with the two we were having problems with. I entered a new meeting and the map came up just fine. I re-activated the firewall and the new meeting’s map was still good. I checked the two problem meetings and the maps were still not working, so I deleted them and re-entered with the same information and now they are working fine.
The office manager’s account has Admin access because it’s just the two of us and it’s not good for me to have the only Admin account, in case I get hit by the pie truck.
So guess you can close this ticket, although I have no idea how it was solved. Thanks for your support!

In reply to: [12 Step Meeting List] No map produced for new entriesNot sure this has any bearing on the problem, but our office manager, who does all the Meetings updates passed this along:
“On a previous update there was an are where we could toggle map features. It is not there now unless there is a higher level of admin that we are not signed into?
Maybe we need a new api key for mapping?”I did double check the Mapbox API to make we had a valid key.

In reply to: [12 Step Meeting List] No map produced for new entriesThanks for the quick response. I deactivated nearly all of the other plugins, except the firewall, and that didn’t correct the problem. The two new entries do not have the same address. The addresses are: 2025 NE Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, Portland, OR 97212, and 433 NE 76th Ave, Portland, OR 97213, USA. Nothing particularly odd there.
The edit screens for these meetings show no map at all; the preview screens show a world map with no location pins. We have version 3.5.0 installed. Still puzzled.

In reply to: [12 Step Meeting List] Change default editorHi Tim – thanks for the quick reply. Here’s the message I got from our office manager, who is responsible for all the meeting updates:
“When I am in the meeting editor every time I make an entry I have to change the editor to my name. I have a dozen or so entries today and I noticed it keeps swapping back to your name. Do you know if there is a way to set it to default to the user that is currently logged in?”
He is able to make the edits and change the editor name in each but it adds to his workload, perhaps unnecessarily. I’m guessing that the plugin picks up the WP Admin name for the default editor but if I change the WP Admin to him, then he will get all the WP admin messages that should go to me.
This is not mission critical but our office manager is already plenty busy and I don’t want to burden him with non-value added steps if we can help it. Thanks for your help and your service!

In reply to: [12 Step Meeting List] Meetings page not found – Urgent! Thanks everyone for sharing your thoughts. I did use the Better Find Replace plugin and it replaced a lot of links but it apparently didn’t touch the permalinks that were causing the problem with download manager files and Meeting Guide entries. Our hosting company’s tech support took care of those, not sure what they did but it worked. I would have had to resort to case by case rewriting, they may have a script for it.

In reply to: [12 Step Meeting List] Meetings page not found – Urgent!Never mind – I got the hosting provider’s tech support to look at it and they have resolved the problem, something about updating permalinks. Please close this ticket.
Worked for me, too – thanks!
