How were you able to re-size the slider on the front page?
I am having trouble (and so are other people who have posted in this support form) re-sizing the height of the pictures. They appear too tall and you have to scroll down to see the rest of the site.

Does anyone else have this problem? I don’t have a slider.php file, instead it is “slider-nivo.php file….

Hmm when I choose “aldehyde layout” for the blog, I still see the large “view” graphic..

Was this included in the recent update?

Have you figured out how to do this? I would like to remove this as well.

I made a child theme but I don’t have a slider.php file. I have one called “slider-nivo.php” but there isn’t “home_page” anywhere in that file….

How were you able to get your “home” page to show up on your static front page?

Whenever I set my “static front page”, it makes the slider disappear completely. I would like the static front page to show the slider AND my home page content. Thanks for your help.

the way i solved the menu problems was by:

making a menu where i did not add anything to do. (I called it “empty menu”).
i made that menu the “top menu” in the “customize area”.
that got rid of the menu being in the very top.

enjoli….I totally figured it out, here is how I did it:

I left click-ed on the header and in the drop down menu that appears i chose “inspect element”. This brings up the CSS for your website. It allows you to play with your website by changing all the values, and seeing what it does right right before your eyes.
And it only makes the changes in that window, so there isn’t a chance of live-editing and crashing up your website while people are viewing. It also tells you where in the CSS you can find the values you are playing with.

How I got my header to move with the rest of my website, rather than being “relative”:
Using the CSS editor in my www.ads-software.com dashboard:

My theme is responsive so I went to the “media” section and under “desktop”

#masthead {
position: absolute;

It used to have a value of “Relative” but I changed it to “absolute”.
