Sorry about my English. What it does when activated is switches off the comments so they show up as “comments off” at the end of the posting.

esmi thank you for your reply. I am a little concerned in switching off all the plug ins because presumably I will loose some of the layouts etc I have set up with them. Is there a plugging for comments that would work. I have had a look through the plug ins and find the descriptions in most cases not very helpful in identifying what exactly they do.
