In reply to: [BulletProof Security] Unable to see pages and posts in maintenance modeI agree – it is excellent, and was worth the perseverance to get it up and working for my new network :).
One more quick thing – I know I can probably dig for an answer, but hope this will be quicker. If your IP is changing (as mine had from one day to the next), how do you ensure you don’t get locked out if you have backend activated?

In reply to: [BulletProof Security] Unable to see pages and posts in maintenance modeThere are no errors showing in my server logs.
Server Type: Apache
Operating System: Linux
WP Filesystem API Method: direct
Server API: cgi-fcgi CGI Host Server TypeI deleted the plugin files and folders via cpanel (having locked myself out of the backend via BPS Mmode). Deactivated all other plugins, ensured I was in the Network Admin panel, and did a fresh install. Went through all the other settings before getting to MMode. My earlier template and settings were still there, so I assume there were dbase entries leftover.
It is odd that the BPS options panel is not available in the Network Admin area (but is in primary site).
Throughout, the “Reminder: Frontend Maintenance is turned on” was at the top of the admin pages. When fiddling with Mmode options, I was getting conflicting and double messages/reminders, eg: top of page Blue reminders: “Frontend Maintenance is turned on”, AND “Frontend Maint is turned on for primary and subsites”, and then under the tab heading, green “Frontend Maintenance turned off”…And the same problems as in the earlier install. I don’t know what ‘got fixed’, but I tried every possible combination of ‘save options’, turn on, turn off until, voila, it is now working as it should, and there is only one blue message: Reminder: Frontend Maintenance Mode is Turned On. ?? ?? !!
Not sure if I’ve made any sense there — I’d started this post and ended up booted out because I didn’t save/send soon enough.
Sorry I couldn’t be more help, this took a lot of time, but I really wanted the functionality of BPS and being able to minimize number of plugins…
Really appreciate your work,
Thanks!Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [BulletProof Security] Unable to see pages and posts in maintenance modeGreetings,
I am having the same issue with my multisite/network (set up a week ago). I have so far only set up the primary site and network and could not use the BPS MMode options due to this problem.Before I go into all the gory details, I’m wondering if I and maybe the OP mistakenly installed BPS from the dashboard of the primary site, instead of from the Network Admin UI and that is what causes the problem? (pretty sure I didn’t, but could be). As with articexplorer, my BPS settings options are showing on the Primary Site (ID 1) configuration menu, but not the Network’s menu.
My wp-config settings are:
/* Multisite */
define( ‘WP_ALLOW_MULTISITE’, true );
define(‘MULTISITE’, true);
define(‘SUBDOMAIN_INSTALL’, true);
define(‘DOMAIN_CURRENT_SITE’, ‘my-primary.net’);
define(‘PATH_CURRENT_SITE’, ‘/’);
define(‘SITE_ID_CURRENT_SITE’, 1);
define(‘BLOG_ID_CURRENT_SITE’, 1);—
And, I double-checked my ip addresses for the whitelist.I wonder if arcticexplorer could chime in again with results of trying a fresh install – would be much appreciated.
I’m not sure if this is relevant, but I initially installed wp-maintenance-mode, then uninstalled when I discovered BPS would take care of it for me. Also, if relevant, I’m using the vantage theme.
It’s probably not a big deal to uninstall and try again, ensuring I’m in the Network Admin but would like to hear if others might have solved the issue another way.

In reply to: Fatal memory error and database now inaccessibleThank you again – very much. I sent this on to my host support and then waited a while longer so I wouldn’t interfere if they were working on it too and they just wrote that everything is “back to normal” (tho I’ll definitely be a bit gun shy for a while now).

In reply to: Fatal memory error and database now inaccessibleThanks, Samuel. I must say I’m worried about “breaking something” and something else going wrong.
So, do I understand:
1. rename plugins folder (to anything) and I should be able to get past the “cannot access database” notice and be able to access wp-admin panel?
2. then try adding that line again in wp-config
3. then rename plugins folder back to plugin and all should be well?Same issue and error message re: notifying Ask on two sites as of this morning.
Thanks for any help.
I’m having the same issue – have actually noticed it for several months but am just now getting around to looking into it. Can anyone tell us how to set the correct time for the generated sitemap?

In reply to: Backdating PostsI have been scouring to find a method / plugin to do this in bulk. I’ve converted an old html site and would like to backdate everything in one fell swoop, or at least some hefty batches. I found the Admin Management Xtended plugin, but you still have to edit each entry individually.
Does anyone have a suggestion or solution?
Thanks in advance.

In reply to: Place an Ad Banner alongside HeaderI just put up a step-by-step “How to” at that Suffusion Support forum post — https://www.aquoid.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=2491
I hope it will help others and reduce your time in troubleshooting.

In reply to: Place an Ad Banner alongside HeaderSayontan – Thank you again! That was the step I was looking for but must have passed over in my confusion between using the Header Customization vs the Header Widget and going back and forth between those options. Knew there must have been something defining / restricting size. The instructions on the above forum topic were also helpful in getting the alignment and look I needed.
I really love what I’ve been able to do with Suffusion and will be singing its praises. Thanks again for your support.

In reply to: Place an Ad Banner alongside HeaderHi again Sayontan,
I believe Eric and I are having the same issue.What I want is exactly what you see in my header as it is, except that the right image (ad) needs to be clickable. I would have thought the place to do that would be in the Header Customization when we place the background image, just as it is with our foreground image (which you have set to automatically link to our main blog page).
When I try to use the Header Widget – there must be constraints somewhere which are restricting the placement of the right image and pushing the 728px banner off the right of the page. I believe that’s what Eric was describing and the style definition you gave above didn’t change anything…
I know nothing about coding this kind of thing, but maybe if you could explain how you thought people could/would use this new Header Widget to accomplish that feature request – how it works when you use/test it – we could figure it out?

In reply to: Place an Ad Banner alongside HeaderThanks for your quick reply.
I did try that and have really been struggling to figure it out: I changed background image setting to “no image” in Header Customizations and inserted my code with image and link in the Header Widgets, but it pushes off the right of the page. I even tried just leaving the background image in and putting just a link in the Header Widgets, but that scews the area in strange ways.
I’m sorry to be a bother, and I did try to find style options via firebug but can’t find anything or figure it out — could you please be more specific?
I really appreciate your time.

In reply to: Place an Ad Banner alongside HeaderThat’s fantastic news – I had placed an image in the Header Background Image Position – aligned right beside my logo, while waiting for this feature. I’ve just upgraded to 3.6.3, but I don’t see any new options in the Header Customization to be able to enable the ad.
Can you please explain how to place the banner ads in the header area aligned with the logo?
Thanks – really love the theme.

In reply to: Adding Tags list to the archive pageMmuro,
Thanks so much for this – I love how the 3-column looks on your sample page and am trying to implement it on a client’s wordpress site.
I’ve copied the code into the archives.php template, but it won’t create 3 columns…is there something else…?
