In reply to: [NS Cloner - Site Copier] Fatal PHP errorNo other changes – all that is different is PHP version (which I can’t help suspecting) and Apache version.
I have basically copied over the directory structure and database, changed the ip address in the WP db and done a global search and replace to change any reference to the previous directory structure. Almost everything else is working OK – still have one other glitch to figure out…If I try and reinstall the plugin I get the following message:
Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.
…but I then have to delete it completely otherwise I think it starts giving me the error anyway (I could be wrong about that – it might have been cache or something)Thanks for looking

In reply to: New User Activation email sends but not password email…?hah – tracked it down to custom login (3.2.4) plugin – this presumably messes with the mail functionality of wordpress core – once I deactivated it properly (not just unhooking it from wordpress on it’s own settings page), emails started working properly again.
Rather have functioning users and BBPress than a pretty signup screen!

In reply to: BBPress – Can't access their support forum :-(Hi I have tied on Chrome and Firefox so don’t think it can be a plugin (but tried disabling firefox extensions anyway and it made no difference). Buddypress gives the same error… ??

In reply to: New User Activation email sends but not password email…?I notice that when I change a password a notification is emailed to admin, so WordPress core is sending emails…

In reply to: New User Activation email sends but not password email…?BTW new users are signing up using BBPress signup shortcode, which is sending initial registration activation email correctly. So it is perhaps the WordPress core email functionality that is failing (if this uses a different mechanism)…

In reply to: [Cimy User Extra Fields] Login details email never arrives…yes. Any ideas what is going wrong?
Thanks for replyingI found the upgrade to 4.4.1 introduced formatting errors that caused my [su_row] to break in two separate site upgrades. I found pasting the content from the upgrade fixes the problem…
I want to revise my previous comment – The plugin IS working OK with 4.4.1 – I had a non-breaking space within the su_row shortcode that somehow got there in the upgrading process but I spotted this using chrome debugger and once replaced with and ordinary space all is well again!
I too have a problem with this plugin and 4.4.1 – I am testing the WP 4.4.1 upgrade on my local copy of a site before going live and I just see the shortcode [su_row class=”5-col-adjust homepage_bottom_image_row”] displayed where my custom layout should have been…
I am upgrading from 3.9 so I don’t know at what point in the WP development cycle it became broken… Is there any point in me delaying upgrade till the developer releases a fix?
