In the theme settings page: Appearance > Mantra Settings – under Social Settings.

Updating to the latest theme version will direct you to the settings plugin faster ??

We’ve announced this in the last Tempera update changelog.

That means your WordPress (and inherently your webserver) does not have sufficient filesystem permissions to create files/folders. You should check this with your website host.

We had to remove shortcodes from Mantra a while ago (and this settings plugin has nothing to do with shortcodes).

alexdobsonuk, if you’ve made changes to the theme files, you should start by transferring those changes to a child theme. Depending on the changes, some are easy to transfer, some are next to impossible (but not quite impossible).

After you are sure your code changes are in a child theme and they work, only then you can update the theme.

Configurations done in the theme settings page are not file customizations and are kept between updates (but it’s never a bad idea to make backups – at least using the theme’s export functionality)

Not without editing that line, no.

But many of the functions are plugabble in the child theme (and plenty are hooked in place so they can be removed and replaced).

Which functionality are you trying to customize?

Those posts can be disabled in the theme settings.

paulvanroekel, are you having trouble with the theme’s settings page or with the presentation page?

Check that your WordPress’ Frontpage option (in Reading) is set to Latest Posts.

It is a lot simpler and safer to install plugins via the dashboard.

If you absolutely must install it manually, make sure you extract the cryout-theme-settings folder from the downloaded archive before placing it in the plugins/ folder.

Did you also update Nirvana to 1.2.1?
Did you try to force refresh the settings page (Ctrl+F5)?

What is displayed in Nirvana’s settings page? Do you see the section titles or not?

maroonedsia, the settings should not be affected by the move in any way unless you also change the domain name / URL WordPress sees itself at (even adding/removing www. from the URL matters).
Is this the case?
