Use 1ashgarg’s suggestion of you want to remove the “And underneath the columns you can have 2 more text boxes that also support HTML tags and [shortcodes]. ….” text.

Go to Appearance > Parabola Settings > Presentation page and disable the Posts on presentation page option if you want to not display posts on the presentation page of the theme.

What slider are you trying to get to work?
Parabola has its own slider on the presentation page (which I see you use) and I also see you got one image on it, but something is interfering and makes the slider behave like it has 2 images.

Disable the option of displaying posts on the presentation page until you actually have posts you want to display there.

The ‘light’ and ‘dark’ buttons have predefined colours.
The ‘colour’ button has a definable background colour.
These are detailed in the theme shortcodes demo page.

This is somehow answered in the theme FAQs.

Refresh the site in your browser and then check the last 5-10 lines of the log.

The theme does not display featured images on full posts, but only on excerpts. This is the current behaviour (which we are considering changing).

The breadcrumbs should be fixed in the 1.3.1 update.

As for posting on our forum and things going wrong… that should not happen ??

There’s no simple enable/disable or checkbox for that.

To totally hide your menu, create a custom empty menu and assign it to the Primary Navigation.

Check the server log to get the actual error message.

I believe we covered this via support.

For anyone else wondering the same thing, you’ll need to edit the frontpage.php file (preferably via a child theme) and re-order its content in the desired manner.

After you’ve disabled comments on the desired page(s), go to the theme settings and adjust the last 3 options (which are comments related) under Graphics Settings.

fhallinan, make sure the presentation page is enabled in the theme settings then go into Settings > Reading and make sure “Front page displays” is set to “Your latest posts”.

If you need a separate blog page, use the “Blog page” template provided b the theme on any empty page.
