In reply to: [Independent Publisher] Archives Template IssueI must have deleted the widgets in the past. I added the widgets to the archive page and the template for the archive page works well now. Issue has been solved.

In reply to: Recent Posts do not show up on home pageok finally figured out it was an .htaccess file issue. Re-saving the permalink did not work. I had to create a new .htaccess file. Issue now resolved.

I tried to re-save my permalinks – no success.
I did have a caching plugin in the past but deleted it. I tried to reinstall it just now to see if for some reason that would help? But now get the error “Please update your PHP. W3 Total Cache requires PHP version 5.3 or above”
I’m a bit lost here.

In reply to: Categories and Tags not workingI had to disable my plugins and reinstall them. It seemed to fix the problem. Couldn’t really tell which one was causing the issue unfortunately.

In reply to: [Independent Publisher] How do I remove these widgets?So I found that the code was coming from the parent theme sidebar.php
Putting a comment<!– –> around the code seems to do the trick. However, there must be a better way. Plus it feels to be poor form to edit the parent theme like this and still have this massive comment in my site’s code.
