It won’t let me turn on the service. When I click “Put Online” it gives me a pop up that says: Could not execute menu item (internal error) [Exception] Could not perform service action; The service has not been started. *sigh*

I installed WAMP and turned off IIS. How do I get localhost to point to my WAMP files?

I might try WAMP. When you stay uninstall everything, do you mean apache, php, mysql and phpmyadmin? Do I have to do anything with IIS?

I tried going to https://localhost/wordpress/wp-admin/install.php again and it just doesn’t load. ??

I don’t really know what’s going on. I tried installing again with the Web Platform Installer but when it says that I have successfully installed WordPress there’s no link to open it. It just opens Microsoft WebMatrix, whatever that is!

I can’t figure it out. I don’t know whether it’s IIS or something I’m not installing correctly.
