Yes, thanks esmi – in theory, it should work with any WP theme. If you encounter problems with specific themes, we’re happy to help. Thanks. Marking as resolved.

In reply to: [IProperty Real Estate Agent] Change iProperty MetaHi – IProperty comes with an example.po language file which can be used to translate text strings used throughout the plugin. You can copy this .po file for a single custom language file (i.e for commercial listings) or for multiple languages.
For example, if you want to create a custom ‘commercial’ language file, you would copy the ‘plugins/iproperty/languages/example.po‘ and save as ‘plugins/iproperty/languages/iproperty-en_US.po‘ (assuming en_US locale), then use a translation tool of your choice to make your modifications to the text fields. Save the file with your custom text as ‘plugins/languages/iproperty-en_US.mo‘ and you’re done!
You can find the WP documentation and links to translation tools here. Hope it helps!

In reply to: [IProperty Real Estate Agent] search conflictThanks for the report. We have identified the issue and should push a new version within a day or two.
Hi blako71– I believe that this was resolved by installing the latest plugin, correct? Just checking, since we discussed this on the Pro support forum at https://extensions.thethinkery.net.
Thanks

In reply to: [IProperty Real Estate Agent] hmmmNew version has been released today with much improved handling of non-standard templates.

In reply to: [IProperty Real Estate Agent] hmmmHi– there are multiple pricing options, from $125 – 225 depending on the term of support.
Imports can be done, but it’s not currently built as a “drop in system”– so yes, if a pro client wanted an import done, it could certainly be done, though it would be a custom job currently.
7) yes, this is exactly the scenario we use in our walkthru videos– you create a fresh install of WP and IProperty, and you’re already logged in as an admin– you don’t need an admin to be an agent, and that user can certainly add listings / agents / companies. If I’m misunderstanding what you were talking about please explain.
As I said in my initial post, your review was inaccurate, but the accurate parts we are either already working on or will take as criticism and improve– so thank you for your feedback.
However, we’ll take this as constructive criticism, and look forward to improving the product in releases to come.

In reply to: [IProperty Real Estate Agent] hmmmSo every post you’ve created has been to bash other real estate plugins?
Hmmm indeed.
Also, for the sake of accuracy– you’re wrong on several of your points, including price, reviews, and imports. However, we’ll take this as constructive criticism, and look forward to improving the product in releases to come.
1. Does not work well with responsive themes
This is a known issue in some cases, and one we’re working on.
2. Iproperty advertising on every property page. (even wp-property does not have that). I dont want to have your advertisement on my site.
It’s unencrypted and FREE. You’re welcome to remove it. The pro version can be white boxed.
3. No MLS integration offered. No import at all. Even if you want to do it yourself, its not possible the way they set it up. So what, we are suppose to ad properties by hand?
This is already under development. Our Joomla product has csv, xml and RETS imports, and we’re actively working on porting these to WP. And yes, it seems reasonable to expect users of a free product that is meant to support small agencies to add properties by hand. Mass imports are normally the requirement of larger agencies and brokers who would be happy to pay for the capability.
4. Some basic features only available when upgrading to “pro” for $250
I’m not sure what you mean by “basic”– these are features include saved searches and properties, email updates, ajax map search, etc.
5. Hard to change layout
I can’t really comment on this– I have no idea what you may have tried.
6. No shortcodes
Perhaps you might suggest this as a feature?
7. Existing user can not be turned in to an Agent. So an admin can never post properties
This is not true. I am wondering if you even tried this? An admin can absolutely post properties.
Thanks for your feedback.

In reply to: [IProperty Real Estate Agent] View All Properties not workingYeah, it seems really odd to us coming from the Joomla world, but in WP template developers can sort of set their own way of doing things, and the plugins just have to adapt or crash.
Let me know if a default WP template fixes this issue– if not, we’ll dig deeper.

In reply to: [IProperty Real Estate Agent] View All Properties not workingNo– are you using a standard WP template? We’ve seen some weird behavior with some templates that don’t do things the “normal” WP way, so you might try applying a basic WP template and see if that helps.

In reply to: [IProperty Real Estate Agent] Search in the basic versionThe basic product, like its name suggests, is pretty basic– it’s meant for a small agent / agency with maybe 1-3 agents and less than 20 properties.
You can create menu items for each agent, category, and even property if you like, in order to let users quickly “drill down” to what they’re looking for– but there’s not much in the way of searching in the basic version.
Of course, the basic version will work in much larger scenarios, but in these situations it’s best to upgrade to the Pro version with the sophisticated search tools.

In reply to: [IProperty Real Estate Agent] Photo Gallery tabHi–
1) photo gallery should be auto-created for you when you add images to a property listing via the Add Media button.
2) adding tabs is not supported, you’d have to hack the product to make this happen.
Thanks!

In reply to: [IProperty Real Estate Agent] View All Properties not workingHi– I can’t duplicate this issue. Can you check your PHP error logs? Often a blank white page means a fatal error has occurred.
