Your site will look the same but all the content was in the database. If you don’t have that backed up and you can’t get it from your website host (contact them and see if that’s possible) then unfortunately all your posts are lost :o(

Just to clarify so there’s no confusion for anyone who comes across this thread…

On the back-end go to Appearance->Editor and look for footer.php. Be careful when editing your core .php files.

Core files are not theme files. They’re the main WP files.

It isn’t in the WP folder. It’s in the root. It’ll either be called index.html or home.html.

The word is not spelled incorrectly, it just doesn’t have the common capitalization of the P.

It’s very unprofessional to have words not spelled correctly on a Web site or blog site; it can also be very embarrassing.

On a corporate site I’d have to agree but on a personal blog… no. But again, WordPress was not misspelled therefore your comment was not helpful, it was just nitpicking. And that was the reason for my “um”.

Correct the spelling of WordPress. It should have an uppercase “W” and an uppercase “P.”

Why didn’t you contact the site where you made the posts instead of coming here? No one here can do anything about posts you wrote there. Contact the webmaster of that site.

Log into either the file manager for your hosting account or your FTP client and delete the files specified.

Is the tag for the sidebar (<?php get_sidebar(); ?>) being called in the index.php of your theme?

Is your host Godaddy? Because my site/admin was always slow when I used them.

If all you did was delete the WP folder, then all you have to do is download a fresh copy, make the sure the config file contains the same info (as James explained) as the original and upload it. You’ll also have to reupload any themes/plugins that may have been lost.

Well you do it your way then, although it’s not the BEST way. I’m curious why you’re asking for design help at a WP help forum though? You do realize that there’s really nothing special about WP themes. They’re just HTML, PHP, CSS, ETC like any other site no matter what it’s built with. Except for the WP tags and what have you of course. Your question has nothing to do with WP. You might find better help at a web design help forum.
