Hello @lospeso and thank-you for the detailed steps. I very much appreciate your input! At this point, I will leave it for the maker of the plugin, @jeffrey-wp, who also experienced that the categories do not display for the List view (per his post: “It seems that of WordPress 6.4 the column header ‘categories’ is not shown anymore in the media library list view. At this moment we can’t find a way to bring it back.”) to post his testing results. I mean, if the maker of the plugin is having the same problem, then what chance would I have to resolve it? I paid @jeffrey-wp for the Premium version and expect that he will stand behind his product and describe his testing results.
Your words are few, so please help me to understand. I think that you are saying that with the release of WordPress 6.4, an essential feature for Media Categories to work in the media library List view, the “categories” column, does not display and therefore cannot be used by Media Categories. Because of this change to WordPress, Media Categories does not work in the List view. Furthermore, you do not have a solution that will allow Media Categories to work in List view. I will overlook your first response to my Issue, assuming that you had not yet upgraded to WordPress 6.4, and that upon upgrading to WordPress 6.4 you found the issue to be valid and were able to confirm it. What are the next steps that you will take to resolve this issue?
Is this the typical response time and level of investigation that I can expect from Media Categories? It was three weeks before your first reply and now four days since you made a comment–but you didn’t actually try to address the issue. I know that this is the holiday time, so I can certainly extend some grace, but I would appreciate a little investigation into what appears to be a defect in your product. This issue is NOT “resolved”.

Hello, yes I have “Media Cleaner” plugin installed. I disabled the Media Cleaner and tested again by filtering the list view and the grid view by category. There was no change in the problem. The issue persists. My custom taxonomy slug setting is “media-taxonomy” which is the name of the custom taxonomy that I am using. Since it works correctly in the Grid view, I have no reason to suspect that this is incorrect.

In reply to: [Yoast SEO] Yoast won’t let me update my category meta descriptionI have the same issue. The Update button on my “Edit Category” page is covered by the sentence: “Thank you for creating with?WordPress“ and I cannot update the categories of my taxonomy.
