Try using a lighter blue color

Nice one! Lovely colors, contrast and layout. At first I didn’t much care for the red and yellow transcript colors, but then I started reading some of it and, well, I changed my mind =P

Looks nice ?? My suggestion: Use some of the blue colors in the sky picture elsewhere on your site, for example on the menu links.

Seems to be a lot of controversy regarding splash pages these days. My opinion is that you don’t need a splash page because it is linked to a welcome page, which basically serves the same purposes. We don’t need to be welcomed twice ??

The search field looks a little anonymous. You should add some text that indicates that it is, in fact, a search box ?? The design looks very nice.

Nice looking blog you’ve got there. The blog entries are nicely separated and the left menu does not look cluttered. The header, however, is not fixed in width like the rest of the page. You might want to do something about that since it makes the whole site look a little odd in larger resolutions.

Very nice color scheme ?? I have some opinions regarding the layout and graphics though:

1. The rounded edges on the top of your page appear to have a darker background color than the overall background color.

2. To make the “Paystream Voices” logo stand out more you should add more space around it.

3. Perhaps you should add more space between the menu and the entries as well as below the entries to make them more separable.

Other than that it’s a very nice looking blog ??

I love dark designs, and yours is very nice. I do have some suggestions:

You should either make the text brighter or make the headlines and links less brighter. That might make the blog more readable.

Perhaps you could play around in Photoshop or whichever photo-editing program you use and chose a color from the header image to use as a color for the headline. The red you are using don’t quite fit in, in my opinion.

Also: Your photographs are amazing!

First of all I think your choice of color is very good. They are smooth and make the page enjoyable to look at. The logo, however, don’t quite fit in with the rest of the site, and that goes for the green bullets in the lists to the left as well. I do understand that the bullets are little x-box logos and that the “Fable 2” logo probably is based on the game’s logo, but you should either customize/edit them to make them fit into the pages, or edit parts of the pages to fit the logo and bullets.

Second: The pages are a little too compressed in my opinion. Perhaps you can add some more space around the text to make it easier to read.

Other than that it’s a good-looking site. Well done!
