Thank you Gergana. I’ve figured this out! In case it helps anyone: I deactivated SGS via the file manager earlier, so it already wasn’t active. I was missing a WWW A record so I just added that, and then changed my SSL to Full instead of Full (strict) and I’m in now.

Oh, and one more thing to add. With SGO activated, GTMetrix cannot find the LCP. Here is a screenshot.

Thanks for your help. I suspected you would say that you saw no difference. I have flushed every single cache that I could and it doesn’t make sense for my header or footer not to be cached as I made them 6 months ago. You can take a look at what I’m seeing here.

This is logged out in Safari, and it looks the same in Chrome while I’m logged out as well.

Any updates on this? I’d love to be able to do the same as well!

Alrighty, thank you for letting me know. I already use Firebug and wouldn’t be able to function without it, hahaha.

Anyway, quick question. I know you can’t really help me out much. Should this code work upon placing it in? Or does it need modifications for WordPress standards?

Also, I forgot to place it in up there but let me know if you need to see my code. As I said, I’m working with Thesis so my files might be a little different. I also have my jQuery in a folder inside of my Child Theme folder.

Thanks for the response! I was already using wp_nav_menu so I’m now trying to understand…is the current-menu-item already included with wp_nav_menu? I honestly can’t comprehend the codex…it might just be me but I feel like there are lapses in information, haha.
