In reply to: Issues with word wrap in Neoclassical themeActually No, and its a shame! I am currently using both the 2 column and the three column version, and both I have the same problem. I love the theme, but, the over-sized and centered pics on the top of my posts is sending to the brink of madness (who really wants to add to the load time of their blog !!!)
then again, they just may want us to actually buy the Thesis theme.. LOL ??
Come to think of it, maybe I should tinker with it and see if I can find us an answer.

In reply to: Export XML file not Importing with 2.8having the same problem. The file is either empty or is not in the correct file format. In either event its quite frustrating!
I even tried to do a data base dump from my host server, when I imported the data, the process over-rode my permalinks and crashed the plugins even though they were disabled.
–have to go old school and cut & paste post I want to move. ??
-at this point I am assuming this will get fixed after the all the bugs are fixed.

In reply to: WpNewpaper themehere is a crude but effective hack for putting thumbnails in your excerpts
in the index.php or home.php
just before the….. <?php the_excerpt(‘Read more…’); ?>
BUT, make sure it is before </div> or so its included in the content only! you will know if you screw this up the page will balloon with the thumbnail in a crazy place
insert this if you are using a custom field named “thumbnail”
there is a catch you need to go into the css stylesheet and include the thumbnail on the stylesheet or it will be aligned tightly to the text, here is an example
#thumbnail {
float: left;
width: 150px;
height: 150px;
}if you are using more than 150 words in the excerpt it won’t matter and will cosmetically look correct.

In reply to: WpNewpaper themeIf you have the photos in the media gallery, and the main page of the magazine uses excerpts, try using Advance Excerpts plugin, for some reason it shows your thumbails in the excerpts…..
ironically since my magazine theme is coded to show excerpts, I am trying to figure out a way to not use the plugin to show my images–lol

In reply to: Most Popular Side Bar script<div style=”margin:-10px 0 0 0;padding:0;font-size:85%;text-align:left;”>
<?php if(function_exists(‘the_content_limit’)) the_content_limit(90, “More”); ?>
</div>this portion appears to have the problem, when I removed it the only things that showed was the thumb and the correct title.
why it pulls the same content excerpt is baffling, on top of that its the wrong for all of the entries.
also – don’t know if this matters, but, I am using super-cache plugin with the theme

In reply to: How do I remove header space in TMA?I use the same theme, the header commands are on just about all the templates, it maybe a bit complicated.
You may need someone to tell you how to customize the Stylesheet(s), so your larger (adjust the default height) image doesn’t throw off the header above.
good luck, I just left a question about duplicating the feature post.

In reply to: Post and Comments Ratings plugin?I am looking for the same thing! Did you find anything? I was thinking of an Age requirement on registration also, but, I think the post ratings settings for WP takes care of that with the indiv user parental controls. I have mind set I think on PG-13, the level just under obscene…LOL

In reply to: Post/Page EditorI will try that, in the meantime. I do not seem to have a problem if I type directly into the Editor. Must not like the copt and paste procedure. At this point my post are a little wordy so this maybe a blessing in disguise. thanks for the comments and help
