  • Thanks for getting back to me. The site is currently using:

    WooCommerce Amazon Pay 1.13.1
    WooCommerce 5.2.2
Avada 7.2.1 which is the version that we were using when it stopped working (meaning it was functioning just fine). I see an update available but I’m not going to update it just yet.

I’ll try a conflict test again but it will take me some time.

    Hi!

I’d like to enter in the same issue with the AP plugin.

We’ve had this issue for a LONG time so I shut Amazon Pay off a while ago. Well, today I updated Woocommerce and turned AP back on to see, (purged cache, etc) and it’s still offering up the same errors as the original poster to this thread.

    Session ID:
    Error Code: InvalidButtonAccessRequest

I have: checked the Amazon documents mentioned here and in other similar threads, updated the Merchant URL which was the only update needed and still no change in function.

I have turned off most plugins in the past including the template and that wasn’t the issue. Today I turned off Wordfence hoping that was the conflict, but it was not. I’ll admit that I haven’t turned off every plugin because they’re ALL crucial plugins to the operation of the site, so turning them off doesn’t help us here.

There are no chrome console errors that I see that point to anything specific and he WC log shows nothing for Amazon Pay.

There’s no point in sharing the url here at the moment because I have to turn off AP when I’m done with this post. When this plugin stopped working, nothing had happened. It occurred between upgrades, and just randomly stopped which is why I thought this must be a change on Amazon’s side. I will be holding a three way call with my client and Amazon in a few days to at least get them to confirm the settings are correct (they were before it broke so?)

Anyway, I’m mostly commenting because I’m glad more people are reporting this issue. A couple months ago it was just one url on google talking about it in Japanese, but now it’s more widespread.

Interestingly enough, after reading your post, I happen to have a new phone next to me and checked the site for the first time on that device. I did indeed see the apple pay button on the iphone.

I am still not seeing the Google pay button on PC laptop using Chrome with a credit card installed on Google pay. But I’m glad SOMEONE sees it.

My personal phone may be holding on to old cache and won’t let go. Attempting to flush it have been fruitless.

Now that I have proof of a functioning button on my end with the new phone, and your input, I can walk through the plugins overnight and see if any of them are blocking them for me (which doesn’t make much sense since you can see it). I have also just made sure to check the site as a visitor on Chrome versus as an admin and there was no luck there either.

Thank you for letting me know that button is there, my client was getting very frustrated.

    Hi Rashed.

Thanks for the reminder about cards. I do have a card saved in both Apple Wallet and Chrome.

Also, I’m quite sure I meet all prerequisites as per the Stripe document, again, all that’s changed is updating the theme (which didn’t account for the issue), updated woocommerce, and this plugin.

Germany has been removed from the block list (we were getting noxious bot traffic for a bit).

    Current Woocommerce status:

Once again, I have arrived at a wall.

The problem seems to be woocommerce because I installed the base template WP twenty fifteen and the product pages do NOT show the buttons. So it’s not my regular theme Avada.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the stripe plugin (including older versions)
I have uninstalled the amazon pay plugin which ALSO stopped working before this issue so it was deactivated to make sure there was no conflict with stripe.

The caching plugins are deactivated, everything I can deactivate live is deactivated. No change.

One oddity: after reinstalling the stripe plugin with the most current version, I did get this notification in the logs, but the button still doesn’t show. It’s almost like everything might be functioning but there’s no ‘instruction’ to inject the buttons into the product page.

    3/2/21

    2021-03-02T08:04:23+00:00 DEBUG
    ====Stripe Version: 4.9.0====
    ====Start Log====
Your domain has been verified with Apple Pay!
    ====End Log====

This probably means nothing but I was looking directly at the plugin’s code and noticed that the Google Pay button in the code has an aria label. There is no existence that I can find of an aria-label and hence a button for apple pay in the code. I would think something would exist for me to survey. If not, an aria label is necessary for the Apple Button on your next release. Which files will insert the button code for AP and GP.

If I have to hire someone related to the plugin to take a looksee into my installation, do I submit a request through woocommerce? This is just redonkulus.

New update: I have tried Test mode and the buttons still haven’t appeared. :/
I am now uninstalling it, and will try installing it again (new version and 4.2.3)

Interestingly, the buttons didn’t show up under an older version either. I’m really stumped now.

“I could not visit the product as the site seems to be restricted to visitors.”

I’m not sure what that means. I’m going to guess that you are perhaps located in an IP block my customer has had to cut off and you can’t see the site?

I am literally at a loss as to what’s happening and I’ve attacked it from as many directions as possible. I have a lot of plugins to go through so I’ll check back to remove ones that have never caused issue before.

Disregard my message guys. I was temporarily under the impression that this was my thread, hence my reply (I’m having similar issues as a user of this plugin and had made a thread about it).

    Hi Rashed,

    – all settings for the stripe plugin stayed the same except for upgrading the plugin (the theme plugin, and woocommerce. The GP and AP buttons mysteriously disappeared (and this was 24 hours after upgrading, it didn’t seem to be related to it as per my client).
    – I have changed the theme to an updated base WP theme (Twenty Fifteen) and the buttons were/are still missing.
    – I have turned off various plugins so far and have not found any that are causing this interference.
    – I am continuing researching plugins to see if any that were updated are now causing this interference to keep the GP and AP buttons from showing.

edit: we can use this url as an example:https://www.digitallimaging.com/product/que-media-durable-matte-wr-frontlit-scrim-banner-42-in-x-60-ft-qm-esv-42/ I am unable to see the GP/AP buttons in the cart as well and it IS enabled.

    hi spwebdude,

I haven’t had a chance to switch over the template to a base template as Rob requested (I will tomorrow) but to answer your question, to get the google pay button to show up is to simply have this plugin enabled, have stripe in live mode and to check the field that says load the google pay button to load. The apple pay button does require an account with apple. The google pay button I’m assuming was injected in. I did look to see if there were code fragments (and to see if anything was blocked) but there is zero code referencing this google pay button on the single product page. It hasn’t come back yet either (as of the posting of my question, my client had stated they had seen the button that day).

Edit: So I just tested the template issue. I turned off Avada and turned on a base WP template (Twenty Fifteen) and the button(s) did not return.

edit: Could you clarify which product you’re the dev of? I may have answered your question incorrectly. Avada is a template that definitely goes out of it’s way to be cohesive with WC.

For Robert: The console errors that are there, are showing when I’m logged in (it’s an issue with ClickDesk) but they’re gone when checking the site not logged in as an admin. Of the console errors that are there, I have turned plugins on/off and so far no luck.

It’s digitallimaging.com, not that I’m expecting anyone to peer into that on their own time. The google pay button is usually located to the right of the quantity field.

Question? Can you see the phrase below in your Stripe settings section?
location: Woocommerce > Settings > Payments > Stripe > Click Manage Button?

    Payment Request Buttons:
__ Enable Payment Request Buttons. (Apple Pay/Chrome Payment Request API)
By using Apple Pay, you agree to Stripe and Apple’s terms of service.

Once that checkbox is clicked it’s setup to appear on the single product page next to “Add to Cart” but only if you’re looking at it with an Apple Wallet enabled device. On Chrome desktop/Android phone it shows the Google Pay button instead (if enabled by the user).

The Apple Pay button will ONLY show up if you have turned their functions IN your Stripe.com account. Settings > Apple Pay (there will be some directions to follow to enroll in Apple Pay)

The google pay is already enabled through the stripe plugin, nothing to set up on stripe for that.

Thanks for the update. It’s depressing that there are no plugins devoted to stripe, that handles ALL of their accepted payment types.

Well, this will be indexed on Google forever more when people search for “masterpass woocommerce stripe” and “visa checkout woocommerce stripe”.

Hopefully a programmer out there will see this, take it upon themselves to include all methods and then insert it into woocommerce extensions as a paid extension. There are people out there that want this.

I would like to add Masterpass to the ETA as well. The whole reason we went with Stripe is because they support so many payment options.
