Unfortunately, the translation continues. I heard there is a html code, something like … notranslate.
Can you tell the exact code and where to insert it? I have been running the blog for 7 years not and there are hundreds of posts.

Thank you for your suggestion. I went to the Advanced setting but could not find “translate switch”

There was a language and preferred input languages and underneath a box and a line “offer to translate that are not in a language you read.”
Apparently, if I check the box, it would translate. I left it unchecked.
I am not sure it helped. When I tested it, I saw translated page.
I hope this is not too confusing.

Resolved after creating a new email ID. However, I am not sure the logic behind not allowing me to use an email ID, which I have been using for another blog.
Thanks all the same.

Now I remember the entire background.
With Yahoo sitebuilder, I started the web site thulika.net and created the ID [email protected]. After that, I started my blog tethuika.wordpress.com with the same ID.
Now the web site, thulika.net is transferred to somebody else, and to a different server. The new owner is not even aware of the ID [email protected]. It is noperable because the Yahoo sitebuilder is not in use any more.
However, when I get a comment on my blog at wordpress.com and I click on it, it is taking me to thulika.net, which is not right. That is the main reason I want to get rid of [email protected] from my blog, tethulika.wordpress.com.

I am the one who created that @thulika.net ID. Thre is no other person and I was the administrator. I stopped using it long time back. Just to double check I sent an email to that address and got the message that “the delivery failed permanently.”
Actually, I was getting the notifications at gmail ID until recently. Suddenly, this problem started since yesterday.

I sent invite to my gmail ID and yahoo ID and accepted it from that ID. But those names are not showing in my user list. I am not able to create another user.

rob212, I didn’t know about the browsers playing a part in this. You may be right. Now I see comments box even on the page new articles being posted for two days now. For previous articles, however, “comments closed” line appears at the end, and I could not change it.
It is not important for me, just thought I would mention it.

Finally, I found the problem. I posted aticles on home page which does not have comment box. All other pages do have comment pages.

I will try a new admin user and editing the post. Probably, it will take a while, but I will keep trying.

Or, I may have to go back to my earlier theme. It gave me comments box, although, I found this theme serves my purpose better. Mine is a literature site, not business.
