In reply to: Themes and Images No Longer Appear on Site or in PreviewI mass-changed all the permissions like that article says, and it seems to have cleaned it up like a charm! Thank you!
How did you find those 403 errors? In the source code? If I’d just known about the 403 errors, I could probably have found that article on my own, so knowing how you did it could help me solve my problems on my own in the future.

In reply to: Image Uploading Suddenly Glitchy/ErrorsWell, I’m working my way through that stuff…
The second article you linked doesn’t seem to apply, as it’s directed to the 2.5 build… Do they have a corresponding “fix” out there for the v 3’s?
It’s not my flash player, it’s not my upload, it’s not my cookies… Making the files smaller SOMETIMES helps, if I scale them all the way down to 300 pixels wide — but you know, sometimes I’d like to have a bigger image that they can click to, to see more details…
*sigh*

In reply to: ALL plugins break dashboard since 3.1 upgradeBut, so, still… If I was working fine with 2.8 and 2.9, it seems unlikely that that would be the problem suddenly now?

In reply to: ALL plugins break dashboard since 3.1 upgrade@esmi – I don’t even know where I would find that out. *cringe* I’m not a web-savvy person, just trying to write a little blog…
It seems strange that after working fine for three years the memory would suddenly be a problem, doesn’t it?

In reply to: ALL plugins break dashboard since 3.1 upgradeYes, I am an Administrator.
Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: ALL plugins break dashboard since 3.1 upgradeIt does not generate an error…
Rather, it displays the basic frame of the Dashboard page, but none of the content “windows” are created or populated. Theoretically, I guess this doesn’t harm anything, other than making me have to spend more time digging around for the things that used to be all accumulated for me there…

In reply to: ALL plugins break dashboard since 3.1 upgradeChecked through the Master List (most of which you’ve reiterated here).
Switched to Twenty Ten. Still had the dashboard break when I activated Akismet.
Tried resetting the plugins folder. Created a clean one, installed only Akismet. Activated it – dashboard broken.
I will re-download WP and try that, again. I suppose one never knows.
If I recall from a previous go-round, increasing PHP memory is not something I can do with my hosting setup.

In reply to: Upgrade to 3.0.1 not recognized as doneUsually everyone recommends Filezilla, so that’s what I use… I *assume* (knowing that’s dangerous) that it’s not that.
Is there a better free FTP app? Or should I just resign myself to doing it multiple times every time? ??

In reply to: "Headers Already Sent" errorOkay, I checked that out.
Here’s my error:
Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /homepages/18/d222955516/htdocs/blog/wp-includes/post-template.php:54) in /homepages/18/d222955516/htdocs/blog/wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 890
Implying, I infer, that the error is on Line 54 of post-template.php
I’ve checked that file, and did the recommended fix to the beginning and end. It displays for me in a big bunch, with no line breaks, so I’m not sure what the 54 refers to.
I also tried just re-uploading a clean copy of the file.
Nothing seems to make any difference…

In reply to: "Headers Already Sent" errorI got the install issues resolved, and 3.0.1 is now running smoothly – thus that file is also a fresh copy.
But this error persists whenever I post…
(I also seem to be having Feedburner errors, which may or may not be related?)

In reply to: Upgrade to 3.0.1 not recognized as doneI manually uploaded the files *AGAIN*, and that does seem to have resolved the issue.
Thanks!

In reply to: "Headers Already Sent" errorWow, so I downloaded a fresh copy, decided to go ahead and toss 3.0.1 on there…
And WP isn’t even acknowledging that I did it!! See my new thread here…

In reply to: Categories yeild 404 Error after 3.0 updateWow, thank you!
Frankly, I set this up so long ago, and was so new to blogging at the time, that I no longer had any idea that I was using soething other than the default! *blush*

In reply to: Manual Upgrade to 3.0 FailsWow, that was an easy fix.
I’m sorry I didn’t think of it myself…
Thank you!!
