Thanks everyone for your responses. I contacted BlueHost today and they changed the file upload size to 50 MB. I don’t know how it got switched to 2 MB! That sure wasn’t me! I am now able to upload files!

I will check into how to save photos for the web!

My photos are between 3 and 5 MB….maximum upload is apparently 2 MB. Something must have changed because I have uploaded photos between 3 and 5 MB before with no problem.

Blue Host is my hosting provider so I will contact them to see what the problem is. Thanks for letting me know the issue is with them….

I’m new to this too, but when I look at your blog I notice that you have 2 Subscribe to Blog via email on the right hand side. So go to your dashboard, widgets, and move the lower one away. Maybe that will make a difference?????

Is there a recipe plugin that you know about that DOES send out email notifications?? Or a way to make this one work?

Or should I do without a recipe plugin?

Obviously, I want my recipes to have email notification too….

Well, the plug in seems to be causing the problem.

On Saturday I posted this post using the recipe plugin and I did not get an email notification: https://www.youseasonwithlove.com/recipe/oven-baked-sweet-potato-yam-fries/

Today (Sunday) I posted this post and did get an email notification: https://www.youseasonwithlove.com/2014/05/25/histamine-intolerance/

Can you check into why the plugin WP Ultimate Recipe isn’t sending out email notifications of posts?

Thanks for your reply. I never got the Plantains post so that is weird.

I just sent out a post on gluten and I got it, so did my friend.

I wonder if the posts made using the WP Ultimate Recipe plugin are any different from a plain post….and that is why I haven’t gotten the recipe posts.

I will try another post using the Recipe plugin and see if I get it. If I do, then the issue is no longer an issue…. Let’s hope for that!

Thank you Brandon for your response. I still did not get email notification of the plantain post (as of just now). There is nothing in my spam folder. A friend also did not get that post (as of this morning when she replied to me). When did it go out?

I used a credit card and got access to the Pro version right away. (That’s my recollection, anyway….. ??

If, on your post page, while editing, you see a “Set Featured Image” on the bottom right side, that is what you use to show images on excerpts. I have the Pro version, so I’m not sure if it is part of the free version or not, but you can look at my website here and see the “featured images” https://www.youseasonwithlove.com/
