Hi Dake
- I will try another SMTP plugin as a test.
- Can you give me a link where I can upload the few relevant lines from the debugger?
- Just to mention something that may be relevant: This site was moved to different hosting system (within the same hosting company) recently but the email function was left with the original hosting package. I am wondering if this might be causing an issue? I can’t see what settings are set in the WP Mail SMTP plugin without activating it which I don’t want to do as it may cause problems for active users at that time.
Thank you for your help.
Tina
Hi
I presume I am using PHP Mailer.
I don’t know how to use another mailer.
I did not configure restraints.
I used WP Debugger. I can send you the few lines that were logged when I re-tested (it failed again as before) but I don’t think that they tell me much. Thanks

Hi Amrit
I am finding that the User Registration notification emails are going into the user’s spam folder. This didn’t happen when the ‘WP Mail SMTP’ plugin was enabled and working, so I would like to get the issue resolved.
I have contacted WP Mail SMTP support but no help so far really.
Have you heard of this conflict with WP Mail SMTP before? I now understand MemberPress installs this plugin. Surely there must be a lot of MemberPress users who use your plugin and so would be experiencing this issue too?
Appreciate any help you can give.
Thanks
Hi
Can you tell me if the plugin ‘WP Mail SMTP’ is required for use by the User Registration Plugin? I can’t recall why I have it installed and I’m wondering if I can do without it ?
Thank you
Tina
Hi
I found that the conflict was with the plugin ‘WP Mail SMTP’. I disabled all plugins except User Registration and re-enabled them one by one. It nly failed when WP Mail SMTP was enabled and worked again when I disabled it.
Do you know anything about this? Perhaps you can help me to investigate this further.
Thank you
Tina
Hi Amrit
I had noticed that the ‘submit application’ button seemed not to work properly (had a spinning circle beside it) but in fact the form did submit and the user registration was shown in the back end but no emails to either user or admin about it.
I tried the Twenty-Twenty-One theme, still same issue of spinning circle beside submit button.
I installed the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin as you suggested but this switched me back to the Twenty-Twenty-One theme which is not good as the site is live and I didn’t want it looking ‘wrong’ for all the time it would take for me to test all the plugins.
Do you know if there are any issues using this plugin with MemberPress at present?
The site is on Linux/Apache hosting PHP 8
Thanks
Tina

Hi
I will close this thread now as I am getting email support.
Thank you.

Hi
I have since decided to have just one form for all membership levels but I am unsure how to proceed. Perhaps you could advise:I want to use ‘Simple Membership’ to collect and manage annual membership payments for a professional organisation. The members will not get any extra access to anything on the site but will be listed as Fellows, Members, Students etc. The main reason to use the Plugin is to manage the payment via PayPal.
I need the prospective members to fill out a registration form with their details including the level they wish to purchase. Upon approval by an admin, they will be sent the appropriate link for their level of membership. When they successfully pay via PayPal their membership status is updated and they are informed by email.
From reading your documentation, I think the steps I should take are:
1. Install the plugin
2. Set the default account stats to ‘pending’. – Done
3. Setup the 5 different levels of annual membership with different prices.- Done
4. Install the Form Builder Addon – Done
5. Setup a form on the site using Form Builder Addon with all of the required fields.
6. When admin receives a registration request and approves it manually (how?), they will trigger an email to go out with a link for payment. Can this be automated or does the admin person have to write an email?
7. When the payment is received successfully to PayPal, the member’s status will be automatically changed to active – Is this correct? Also, I find that because I have to enable FREE membership to show the registration form – it says Membership Level: FREE on the form – Even though I am asking the user to choose their preferred level.
I would be very grateful for your advice.
Many thanks
Tina
I realise now that I must temporarily enable the FREE membership option and create a different registration form for each level. I was including a drop-down list of membership options in a single registration form.
Back to the drawing board ??
Hi
It doesn’t look like you are getting a response from support.I have the same problem and found good information on this forum link https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/heads-up-php-5-6-error/page/2/
It looks like you should download the previous release 1.8.8 from WordPress at https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/caldera-forms/advanced/
Then delete the current plugin from the plugins folder on your server via CPanel or FTP, upload the version 1.8.8 and unzip it.
The steps are detailed in one of the posts in the forum link given above.
Good luck

In reply to: [WP Extra File Types] Can’t find .exe in list of filetypesHi Davide
So .exe isn’t listed as an option? I have to add it myself? Can you tell me what I should put in the required field of “mime type”for a .exe file
Thanks
TinaHi There
Thank you for such a great slider!
I am using the Nirvana wordpress theme but even though it has a Presentation Page with a lot of options it doesn’t allow me to use the nirvana slider in the header/top section with a main-content section below and a right sidebar which is what I need (a basic layout in other words).
I have created a child theme and downloaded Smart Slider 2 but I don’t know where to add the code in order to have the slider appear just below the nav-bar. I have tried putting it in the child-theme functions.php file and also created a frontpage.php file and put the code in that but neither worked correctly. I have looked at your video and searched the forums. I have asked the Nirvana developer but no luck.
I don’t want the slider in the content section of the page but across the top under the nav-bar.
My site is at moc.edifyclients.com at present.and I am using WP 4.0
Thank you in advance.

In reply to: [Dazzling] Home Page Widget Appearing below Main ContentThank you Silkalns that worked like a dream.
Can you tell me if I should be careful if I see an update to the theme – should I leave it along or should I update it. Will I have to re-implement the 2 changes you have given me?
Thanks again.
