Thanks Barnez, I will try what you suggested. I did not find the previous moderator helpful as he posted a link to a thread where someone had a blank site map (not my problem). If he had said Yoast is experiencing problems then that would have been helpful. I had already trawled looking for answers which was why I posted.

I have found really helpful volunteers on this forum who have been brilliant. This one was not. I found none of his information useful at all.

Thanks so much for getting back to me I really appreciate it! I am fairly new to word press, so would you mind explaining how I do that? I suspected that it was a bug with the plugin, but the forum moderator was so rude, and posted links to irrelevant information. Sorry to be so useless,but I have also had issues getting to the html in word press. I am not au fait with PHP, so it has been a struggle. I do have 2.0 installed because I got an urgent message telling me that I needed to update? I am beginning to think that for all that is good about Yoast there seem to be ongoing issues that they are not fixing? Would it be better to switch to All in one SEO?

I you go to the homepage hsctstopsms.com you can get to the page I am talking about from the menu. It loads fine. It is just not available in search….google does not acknowledge it exists?

solution:
yes, that solution relies on JavaScript. If you don’t want to use JS, you can use CSS scrolling, for which you will indeed need a wrapper <div> then, e.g.

<div class=”tablepress-scroll-wrapper”>
[table id=123 /]
</div>

and then “Custom CSS” like

.tablepress-scroll-wrapper {
overflow-x: auto;
overflow-y: hidden;
}
————————-

Thanks no that does not make a difference either. I think I have to redo the table that has stopped working in Tablepress. I started a new one and the horizontal strolling is restored and everything seems fine again. I think it was adding the code that merges cells that caused something strange to happen.

Hopefully if I redo it it will be OK But I cannot retrieve all of the data from the previous table as there is no horizontal scrolling. Any ideas? could I export or import it to a new table?

I have another question? My horizontal scroll has disappeared from my page? I am driven to madness with this? Is is tablepress issue? One minute it was there and then gone? I cannot edit the table as I cannot get across the rows? I have looked in a million forums to see if it is the browser but no luck?

Hi Tobias, thanks for the css code. However I was in the process of adding the new code in the plugin options and the box which holes the custom css disappeared? I cannot get it back? I am sure it is something simple but I really need to send you a screenshot? Is there anyway I can do this. The title is now wayyy too big. Sorry to be a pain I have no idea what I did. How can I show you a screenshot?
