In reply to: [Tip Jar WP] Apple Pay CertificateThat’s good to know. We’d like to take a look at what other options might be available for creating that file to see if we can make it work on www.ads-software.com.
If you’d like to reach out to our support directly we can work with you to get a version for testing that. Email [email protected] and we’ll get back to you.

In reply to: [Tip Jar WP] Apple Pay CertificateThat’s a good question then! I wonder if WordPress.com’s folder structure system prevents you being able to have a .well-known directory.
I would recommend reaching out to their support to ask about the .well-known directory for your domain. I am curious what they tell you on that!

In reply to: [Tip Jar WP] Apple Pay CertificateHey there,
The Apple Pay Certificate should be automatically created by Tip Jar WP when you activate the plugin. You shouldn’t need to do anything manually for that.
Was it not created for you automatically?

In reply to: [Tip Jar WP] Please remove Zip-code requirement in the form@pimenteljm Just following up. We just released version 1.0.2.3 of Tip Jar WP which removes the requirement for a zip code, and relies on Stripe to show-or-not-show the zip code field, based on the card’s requirements.
Thanks for your assistance on this issue!

In reply to: [Tip Jar WP] Please remove Zip-code requirement in the formI tested your payment form on iPhone, Mac OSX, and Android, and all are showing the zip field on my end.
Are you able to email a screenshot of how it looks on your end to [email protected]?

In reply to: [Tip Jar WP] Please remove Zip-code requirement in the formDefinitely!
a) While it is possible, it would go against Stripe’s recommendations, and also prevent being able to use the all-in-one field. For those reasons, while we aren’t completely closed to the idea, it would be something that requires planning and consideration, as well as some research to see if it would be worth the added overhead.
b) Definitely happy to help make sure that gets fixed! What is your URL, where the payment form is?

In reply to: [Tip Jar WP] Please remove Zip-code requirement in the formHey José,
Thanks for the message and reaching out.
The zip requirement is something that Stripe recommends at a minimum to help prevent fraud on your account. See their link on that here:
https://stripe.com/docs/disputes/prevention
The good news is that if any of your users use Apple Pay, Google Pay, or Microsoft Pay, they won’t have to type any of their details, including their zip, to make a payment.
The zip field is required for Stripe’s all-in-one card element as well, which is the field which combines the card number, expiry, cvc, and zip all in a single field. If we remove the zip requirement, we wouldn’t be able to use that field, which is a super great user experience!

In reply to: [Tip Jar WP] Add Obvious Pop Up Close FunctionHey Bernie,
You actually can’t use a real credit card in test mode. To attempt a test purchase, try using one of Stripe’s test credit cards:

In reply to: [Tip Jar WP] Font SizeHey Bernie,
The Tip Jar WP styles should all be standardized for optimal checkout by default. However, it might be possible that your theme is over-riding some of those styles. Can you send a link to your website where the Tip Jar is in use? I’ll take a look and see what I can recommend for you!

In reply to: [Tip Jar WP] Add Obvious Pop Up Close FunctionHey Bernie,
Thanks for the question! Do you know if you are using the payment form set to “in_modal”? You can confirm using the details here:
https://tipjarwp.com/getting-started-with-tip-jar-wp/#showing-the-payment-form-on-your-website
If opening in a modal, an “x” icon should always be at the top right. If not, there shouldn’t be any “x” icon, because technically there isn’t anything to close. However, you can click the “back” button in your browser to navigate to the previous state at any time!

In reply to: [Tip Jar WP] Please add PayPal payment option to the pluginThank you for the kind words!
Currently we are focused on Stripe only, as PayPal’s development APIs have fallen far behind and out of date. We are keeping an eye on PayPal’s API updates to see if they become feasible again in the future though! If they do, we will definitely do the work to add support for PayPal at that time.

In reply to: [Tip Jar WP] Add suppprt for Digital DownloadsThis is actually already available if you enable “File Download Mode”. That is available in the block editor and shortcode editor (if you are using the Classic Editor). Set it to require an email and the file will go to their email.
Right now there isn’t an option to set a minimum amount, but that will be coming in a future update!
