1) thumbnails work just like with any other theme, please follow these instructions:
– When in the post editor scroll down and click “set featured image” in the right hand side column
– Select your image and hit “Set featured image”
– Update your post

2) I’m not really sure I understand your second question, could you please explain a little more the issue you are experiencing?

The changelog from version 2.0.5 to 2.0.6 is available here.

Basically this update includes;

bug fixes:
– replies to comments are no longer cropped out on small screens
– working pagination on author.php
– collapsing menu looks much better on small screens

new features:
– New option to hide/show date on blog
– New option to show comments without having to click the dropdown link
– New option to show/hide site description
– title_tag support
– style_editor support

You are absolutely right there seem to be an issue with pagination when it comes to certain permalink structures.
Here is a quick fix:

1. From your WordPress dashboard go to Settings > Permalinks
2. Set permalink structure to anything but “default”

Also if you wish to remove the blog description you can update to the latest version of Coeur in which has been included a customizer option which allows you to hide and show you site’s description.

Please follow these steps:

Step 1: log onto your WordPress dashboard
Step 2: Go to Appearance > Menus
Step 3: Edit menu options
