You can deactivate this with a little work behind the scenes, by going to the last block of code in the file public.js in the plugin folder; you’ll probably have to use the cpanel for your site to access the files.

Once there, you’ll see some jquery code for the character limit; you can change the character limit to whatever you’d like (just look for the 280) or comment the whole section out by typing /* before the first line (right after’//Character Limit’) and then typing */ on the last line, immediately after the final }) that closes the code block.

Changing the character limit has been tested and should not produce any problems; disabling it entirely *shouldn’t* be problematic, but we haven’t tested that, so no guarantees!

That will probably work, if you want to just have a poll and comments without a preceding post; having the poll in the middle of the post is more problematic. Hope this helps!

At this time the plugin doesn’t have the option to display in the body of a post; that’s something we’re looking into right now.

As far as the comments not working — can you send me a URL? That is a problem and I’d like to look into it a little for you…so far we haven’t heard of anybody else having that issue.

I’m not sure I understand what you’re trying to get the plugin to do — it should take over the native wordpress comment system throughout your site without requiring a shortcode.

What sort of functionality are you trying to implement?

there is currently only an English-language version of the plugin; support for other languages is something we’re looking into implementing down the road.

Your polling question and answers could be in French, but the interface text can’t be easily modified by the end user at this time.

Thanks for the input, Martin — we will look into that naming issue for sure! The polling can be a little finicky with the image sizes, glad you managed to get that sorted out.

Yes, the plugin interacts with the normal wordpress comments tables in the database. It will also create its own tables to store voting information and up/down votes, so things may look a little different from the back end.
