Thanks for the info everyone! I updated the email to my [email protected] instead of my gmail and its no longer being sent to spam. I also installed the sendinblue plugin for sending out marketing emails and so far that is working as expected.

Hi, I’ve noticed that all the search engines are showing the correct info I entered into yoast. It took a week or so for the bots to recrawl my site to update the search results but looks good to go now!

I was able to figure it out!

Shortly after posting this topic… I was looking at the illustrator artboard I used to create the featured image I was attempting to assign to a post… I realized that one of the images in the illustrator artboard, that was a part of the feature image I was trying to create, had a broken link (you could still see the image and when I saved the jpeg the image was there, but it still had a broken link… not sure how that works). Anyways, I relinked the image, saved the feature image again, uploaded it to my post and this time it showed up on twitter no problem!

Last week, when I first set up yoast, I could not get a featured image to load on twitter. Magically it started working randomly that night when I refreshed the page for like the 100th time. It has been working for a week now… that is until today.

Currently, no new media I upload and set as a featured image will show up when I try to share on twitter. If the media was already uploaded prior to today, I can set it as the featured image and it will show when shared no problem. I tried to upload all different types of files/sizes but nothing new will show up as a featured image. They all show up on facebook and pinterest but not on twitter. I tried uploading media from multiple different user accounts, and creating posts from multiple different user accounts but no matter what I do I can not get it to show. I also tried using different twitter accounts but no luck. I also deactivated every plugin but yoast and still doesn’t work, also tried deactivating and reactivating yoast but didn’t work. Very frustrating. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

I just noticed that all the changes I made in the actual post or page “SEO title” section Do show up correctly WHEN I have a tab open in a browser and hover my mouse over it. However, the changes I make to Seo title and meta description still don’t show up when I do a search for my site in google. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

    Hi,

Yes, it does work on an my more recent computer browser.

I have a letsencrypt SSL certificate currently. Do you think purchasing an upgraded SSL certificate would fix the issues with paypal on the old mac browser? What about real simple ssl?

    Thanks.

    `Hi,

On the computer that is giving me problems I am using google chrome version 6.5.0.3325.181 which I believe is the latest version. The operating system is old (osx 10.9.5).

Thanks for the help. I was able to get the sandbox to work with your instructions. Sandbox worked fine on the pc but not on the older mac.

I just noticed that with every failed attempt to connect paypal with woocommerce, it creates a “MyApp_WooCommerce_Developers” app under rest API in my developer dashboard. It also created one called “Activation_App”.

When setting up a live api, I can only connect in manual mode. To do that, I used client id and secrete key from Activation_App. Is that the correct app to use? Should I use credentials from “MyApp_WooCommerce_Developers” or would it be better to create my own app?

The site in question is the same one I inquired about in this post: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/not-secure-with-https-crossed-out/ The site is set up to customize products. The listings are simple products priced at $0 in woocommerce. The actual price of the product gets applied when you begin to customize it. By the time you add it to the cart it is full price (In order to add one of those products to your cart: click on customize, choose a product if one is not already selected, add any element found on left panel such as text, shape etc. then click “add to cart” and “checkout” once that window pops up). I also created a simple product to test if it was caused by invalid transaction data like you suggested. I named that “test” and entered in a price of $2 in woocommerce. I attempted to purchase that, but it still gives me the same error as the other listings on the old mac.

I also tried to install paypal on a different site with variable products at different price points. Same issue though, it works on pc but get the error on the old mac.

As I mentioned in the other post I linked to above… I get a red “not secure” warning with https crossed out but only on the old mac (I also have other issues such as not being able to login to my woocommerce account, that only happen on old mac). Apparently the red “not secure” warning is caused by having a free ssl certificate. Do you think getting a Positive SSL or Sectigo SSL certificate for the site would fix the problem with paypal?

    Thanks for the help.

    Hi,

Thanks for the info. I backed it up using all in one WP migration.

I just sent a request to join the flatsome facebook group. I’ll try to troubleshoot the problem there first.

One other thing he mentioned that I should be using a child theme. I didn’t set up a child theme when I initially installed the theme (in the installer I remember the button read “if you don’t know what a child theme is then click here to skip” so I skipped but now I’m wishing I didn’t). Would you suggest going back and creating a child theme now?

    Hi,

    Thanks for you reply.

I sent them an email asking the same question. I got a response asking me to allow them access to my admin panel by creating an admin user login for them.

Is it a bad idea for me to give admin rights to someone like that? Or is it normal procedure for trouble shooting a website problem? Should I do anything before hand to safeguard my info (I have woocommerce and stripe)?

Happy to say, I have resolved the issue with my second site requiring me to double click on a variation to select while on a mobile phone.

Unfortunately, I really don’t know what made it work again. About 30 min ago, I deactivated/reactivated a couple plugins then checked again and it still wasn’t working… but came back just now, checked again, and all of a sudden it works on my mobile again! I had tried deactivating and reactivating all the plugins multiple times throughout the day, even deactivating every plugin except woocommerce and variations for woocommerce, but it never fixed the problem. This time it did though… who knows, at least it works now.

Still don’t know what’s going on with the Flatsome theme elements not working on my mobile for the second site though. Hmmm… maybe that’ll spontaneously fix itself like the variation problem. Here’s hoping.

    Hi,

I tried exporting my first site (the one that has always worked) onto the new domain and I was able to do so no problem, everything worked fine. I checked on a mobile phone and I was able to select variations by clicking on them once.

I then uninstalled and reinstalled wordpress on the new domain and tried exporting my second site again (the one that was having problems on a mobile phone). I was able to export the site but only if I checked the box to exclude the plugins when exporting. One of the plugins must have been causing the critical error.

When I did import my second site onto the new domain, I found that all the same problems were occurring with the theme and I was still having to double click when selecting a variation while on a mobile phone.

I then uninstalled/reinstalled wordpress again on the new domain. This time I only uploaded woocommerce and variation swatches for woocommerce and tested again on a mobile phone. When I did so I found that I again had to double click on a variation to select it while on a mobile! (another thing I forgot to mention… I can single click on everything else while on a mobile phone, it only requires double clicking when selecting a variation)

Ugh, so frustrating. I was going to just delete my second site and start over but now I’m worried that I’ll run into the same problems when doing it again.

Is there somewhere in wordpress or woocommerce that controls the need to single or double click while on a mobile phone? lol… worth asking right?

    Hi,

    Thanks for the suggestion.

I tried doing a test migration first using a different domain name and my second site, but I got a critical error and wasn’t able to access anything in the wp-admin. Here is what I did that caused an error: I exported my site to a file using the plugin you mentioned. On the new domain wp-admin, I imported the file using the same plugin. Once I did so, when I went back to the admin panel I got a message that says there has been a critical error.

The theme flatsome was one I had to purchase. I had not yet purchased it and uploaded it to the new domain. Could that have caused the critical error?

edit: I just noticed that I can export the site without the theme.. I’m going to try it again and see if I still get a critical error.
