In reply to: [Enable Media Replace] Not Replacing – Uploads file name with -1 at the endThanks for the information.
I’ll first start with trying it in a different browser (which seems odd, I don’t understand how the browser affects a photo upload into WordPress) – but I’ll try it!! …..Never know!
If that doesn’t solve it, I’ll do a screen capture, etc… for you.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: How to Stop WP Udates (even though this option is “off”)Just checked with host – BigScoots – and they do not update WP.
So… no idea how that is happening.Makes sense! No worries… Thanks for researching and explaining.
I’m not sure if we’re talking about the same thing, but we could be!
I’m talking about when I have a photo in a blog post, I click on the edit photo button and it opens a pop up box where I can input the alt text, add a link, etc…
The older version of Grow had two fields that are missing in the newer version:
Pin Title
Pin DescriptionI use the classic wordpress editor. I’m not sure exactly what you’re referring to regarding the options you mentioned, but it sounds like that may be in the Gutenberg editor.
Does that make sense?

I’ve also rolled back to the previous version and the missing fields are there along with the previous data.
Don’t know what info will help you, I did deactivate these plugins to see if they were conflicting, but deactivating them did not help.
Black Studio TinyMCE Widget
Classic Editor
Rank Math SEO
Rank Math ProI’m on the Trellis framework (no child theme)
Chiming in here as I have the same issue. The fields for pin data and pin title are missing after updating.
I don’t use any other sharing buttons or plugins.

In reply to: data-pin-description=”” not workingI just did my first post in Gutenberg (obviously, I love, love. love Classic) and I’m just finding out no one has been able to add data-pin-description to the html of an image.
This can’t be real. I found a thread from 2018 on the dev forum that pointed out this issue. It’s 2021. How is this possible?
Here’s the 2018 thread:

In reply to: [Spectra - WordPress Gutenberg Blocks] Post Grid Not Showing as 3 ColumnsFound the issue. It was caused by the plugin Fast Velocity Minify. When I deactivate Fast Velocity Minify, the grid works. I’ll let Fast Velocity Minify know.

In reply to: [Yoast SEO] Yoast Notification: Change in Permalink Structure?Hi Priscilla,
Hmmmm….. I haven’t updated my homepage content in the manner I THINK you mean ?? I don’t have a static homepage. My homepage is all widgets (Genesis).Wish I had more info to offer… I don’t do much on my site except add posts.
I’ll re-run the SEO optimization and watch to see if I get the notice again.
Thanks.UPDATE: The User Interface is now back to normal. I think all is well and good. Yipee!!
Again, this is the best plugin. So straight forward and so helpful. When my website was hacked, this is the plugin that found the files other plugins did not.
Thank you for your great support too.
Thank you Dimitris! I have updated to the latest version 2.2.4.
The interface is completely different. It reminds me of when I go to a website from a slow internet connection and the page only loads the menu and links down the left hand side of the page. No graphics. Bare bones looking.
It looks like all the Defender options are there, but it looks like it is a program built 20 years ago. It’s just gray pages and everything is listed on the left hand side of the page in a list format. Doesn’t have the user friendly interface it did before.
Questions:
1. Is it supposed to look like this? If not –
2. Is it because of the memory limit?
3. Or is it because I just updated from 2.1.5 to 2.2.4? Should I delete and reinstall fresh?

Here’s the other thread dealing with this same issue. Seems to be a conflict with adsense code. I removed a widget that had adsense code in it and the Elemntor editor now loads fine.
Same issue here with black screen. I had a widget that was site wide below the navigation menu with adsense code. I removed the widget and the page loaded fine in the edit screen. So, you seem to be on the right track with the adsense code…
Same issue here. It’s all black with about 10% of the top portion visible.
And of course… I’m trying to edit this page tonight to add information needed for several thousand people to look at tomorrow. Crud.
