Hi all,

As I have a lot of changes to do today, I thought I would go through the list of plugins again to see if I can answer the question.

It was PhastPress that was causing the problem. To stop the white screen, turn off the following item “Enable gzip compression on processed resources” and the page loads very quickly and all works again.

I hope this helps some people.

Thank you very much for your latest thought which I must be honest went through my mind as well. Could it be something to do with one of the Extensions that we use In the browser. But then I thought about it, This is the only website that’s causing the problem, So far we have not noticed this error in any of our other client websites.

Thank you so much For your reply today, hopefully, one of your team members may have the Eureka moment.

I have tried a number of things today but it is still throwing up the same problem and showing no images on the back-end.

This is really strange?

Thank you for the advice. I have tried the 2022 theme and deactivated the plugins as you recommended. this still throws up the same problem. “This block has encountered an error and cannot be previewed.”

I have even looked in the .htaccess file, but that just has the standard WordPress block and nothing else.

The plugin that has stopped the categories from showing up was an items Security Pro.

So there is something in there that I need to turn off or on.

Hi there Tom,

First off, I would like to say, thank you for all your help you are a star.

There was NO CSS code as you have described but looking at the settings under the mobile menu section, the following was ticked, but I don’t know why.

Disable Mobile Toggle
Hide the toggle bar and display the menu in it’s open state by default.

Un ticking it has sorted the problem.
