Well… I found WP-ecommerce for the site that I am working on, but I am still having some problems. I think just bugs that I need to work out, but they are being helpful with trying to help me.

Another question:

That creates a pull down menu of candle scents, can this code be made into a .php folder within my them and then I would call up the document whenever needed. I am thinking this way to make updating the list easier. Whenever I have to make changes then I would only have to make once.

Well, I found MAMP and have it all set up and working fine, now I get to try to start putting my info into a theme and get it to work.

Now here is the hard part that I have come across. Since this website is going to be for purchasing candles online, each candle has an option of 40+ candle scents available. The question is how to give that option using WP??

the way the site is set up right now in frames, each item has a pull down box listing all of the scents and you click on a scent and then add the item to a Paypal shopping cart.

you should see a large picture of the crock with a description and then below that is the item number with the scent pull down box, then an “add to cart” button.

nw you see why we need to make a change, there is no direct link to the item

Can pull down menus be done in WP, plug ins perhaps??

I just started delving into setting up XAMPP on my system to be able to design my site locally and finding alot of very useful info, of course.

I see a lot about windows use but has anyone out there used the MAC or OSX version with any success??

I luckily can’t take credit for the code, that is all thanks to Amazon. All I did is copy and paste their code.

I will give wp-Amazon a try and see if that cleans it all up.

Well not all of the problems are fixed.

How do you fix problems that are coming from affiliates code, which is most of mine, without screwing up what the code does??

I still can’t find the lines of code that are causing errors in any of my files.

I hope that I am not going to have to find another theme, I like this one, but it is a pain in the A

I’ve pulled off the last 4-5 widgets that I have added in the last couple of days and I am still getting the unresponsive script warning whenever I go to save changes in the widgets.

any ideas?? I know that when I ran validator, there was an error dealing with widgets, but I was unable to find the file containing the script.

Otto42 told me to check either the functions.php and/or the sidebar.php files but when I did I didn’t find the line of code in question. Would it appear just as it does in the validator error??

I have started having the same problem with getting a “Warning: unresponsive script”. It mainly happens in Presentation and dealing with my widgets and when I try to save changes. I do have the latest version of FF.

The theme that I am using is snoods-10, if anyone can help.

I didn’t see the “widget” line in either place suggested or in any of the files, at lest not how it is identified in the validator, but then I am nowhere close to having a clue about PHP.

I guess I am going to have to get a book out of the library to learn about it.

The first issue is probably the theme also because I didn’t ad the line myself, it was something offered within the admin page.

I just can’t figure out where to make the fixes??

I think this post can help me and I hope someone out there can shed some light for me.

I did the validation check on my site, I started out with over 45 errors. It looked like most of them stemmed from Amazon Ads errors, another post I have up. I removed all but one and got my errors down to 25. Now, where do fix this errors?? In the list that accompanies the report, then how does that fix my code?? I’m confused!! A lot of the errors I don’t even understand what I am suppose to do, the item that is highlighted in red is there but I don’t understand.

Is 25 bad, I now any errors can have an affect on viewing in different browsers.
al right I’m rambling because my head spins when looking at code and trying to figure it out.

I’ve moved my images out of the includes folder and into their own images folder and I am still getting the same Error message.
