TimHi @jason9j,
Just to add to @shinerweb’s excellent work here, did you manage to do any tests? Mail-tester.com is a fantastic tool for testing things like this, you can send a test to them directly from Post SMTP. ??
Kind Regards,
TimHi @noplanman,
Thanks for taking the time to add the solution to the forum – I am sure other people in the future will really appreciate this. ??

Sorry that I am only just getting around to reading your forum post and replying to you. I have been super busy lately, and this is the first opportunity I’ve had to respond.
As far as I am aware you will be unaffected by this Microsoft change.
Unfortunately the OAuth 2.0 extension is not available, as you say. Microsoft’s API is rapidly changing, and it is tricky to provide this for free.

TimHi @csaba9923,

Are you sending mail from a contact form plugin such as Contact Form 7 or Ninja Forms?

From the top of my memory a Google Workspace email account costs about $5-10 per month. That will suffice for most basic websites. Provided that you are sending a “reasonable” number of emails, you should be just fine with that.
You shouldn’t need to pay any extra for Google API, unless you are a very high volume sender.
I don’t work for Google, so I cannot confirm that – please check directly with them if you need any further information. That said, I’ve set up a number of API connections for Google Workspace accounts and so far (touch wood!) they continue to run fine.

The email address that you are trying to send mail to is invalid – please check it.
I also note from your diagnostics that you do not currently have Post SMTP configured to an SMTP server.

That’s odd, please could you paste your Post SMTP diagnostics here?

I will flag this to the developer – however as Gravity Forms is a premium plugin, we may not be able to resolve this for you.

I will ask the developer to look at this, however as he is very busy I cannot guarantee a response.
