In reply to: Why is autosave not working?Thank you t-p, I’ve relied on Autosave down the years to help me out of the sort of problem I encountered yesterday with the power cut, so I am familiar with it – hence my surprise when I logged back in after the electricity was restored to find that only the title remained from the three hours work I’d done.
I retyped the stuff I’d done as near as I could remember it yesterday afternoon and when I went to save it, I got the “There is an autosave version etc. etc” message, so I clicked on that and it contained virtually all of the work I’d been doing, so Autosave was definitely up and running again and doing it’s job correctly!
Having done some research as to how to access the wp-config.php file, I think I’ll leave thing as things as they are for now and try to remember to make more use of the “save draft” button while I’m working, but thanks very much for getting in touch.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Help! Multiple “warnings” appearing on my blog. Thanks for that, yes, it was cleared up by deactivating all plug ins and then activating them one by one until I came across the one that was causing the problem – once again, thank you very much for your help.

In reply to: Help! Multiple “warnings” appearing on my blog.Thank you very much for that, I’ve deleted the two plug ins as you suggested and I can now log in to the Dashboard and the text which appeared at the top of the Home page (and every other page on the blog) has disappeared.
However, there are still lines pf text appearing in each of my stories between the title and the beginning of the piece;-
“Warning: in_array() expects parameter 2 to be array, string given in /home2/ezelese1/public_html/Mauveandyellowarmy.net/wp-includes/formatting.php on line 408”
is repeated more than twenty times and I see nothing in the message to indicate it is anything to do with a plug in.

In reply to: Where have my recent posts gone? Thanks very much for replying sinip. Yes, I spent an hour or two yesterday afternoon messing about with my plug ins by deactivating and activating them on an individual basis and since then things have been better.
It still wasn’t perfect, because the first time I Googled “Mauve and Yellow Army” on Explorer and Firefox after reactivating them all, I still got a front page with my two most recent posts missing, but when I tried again a bit later on and they were both there on each of them.
Because of this, I decided to go ahead and publish the piece I had typed up yesterday morning and, although it tool a bit longer than it usually does, it appeared on News Now.
This morning, the blog is up to date on all four browsers I use on my PC as well as Safari on my tablet and phone. So, it seems to be working properly now, but I’m still not sure what was causing the problem – if it was one of the plug ins, I’m damned if I know which one it was!
One other thing, I noticed that when stories weren’t appearing on the front page, they could be accessed by using the monthly breakdown of messages on the side bar.
