First – I am sorry that I tagged onto the back of a closed topic, I am new to these forums and did not mean to break any rules

Secondly – I have been searching high and low to try and find an answer to why I was getting Private IP Addresses in my logs and was getting no where.

Please except my deepest apologies and before I post anything again I will look through any sticky’s in regards to posting a question in that section.

Using Plug-in WP Statistics I looked at the IP Address of Visitors to the site and found 10.14.xx.xxx three times on the same date one after the other.

I found that one was using Opera and the other two los where using MSIE.

Nothing looks different on the website, there is still only the one Admin, no passwords have been change,others on the same day all have valid IP Addresses.

I don’t like the thought of having a Private IP Address in my logs,
it was 10.14.xx.xxx (last two octets have been modified) this is a Private Address I know that, what I don’t know or like is why has it appeared where only public IP Addresses should be.

Has anyone any ideas how this could happen?
I have been looking around trying to find out why a Private address would appear in the wild, but nothing?
