In reply to: [Tockify Events Calendar] Tockify calendar : get rid of link on calendar pageHi Akasashasha,
Please contact Tockify Support about this – it concerns the commercial version of Tockify and it seems inappropriate to discuss that here. It’s support AT tockify.com

In reply to: [Tockify Events Calendar] Plugin Embed Shows NothingHI Colin,
The problem on that page is that the calendar is in a space that is 0 pixels high and 0 pixels wide. If you make it bigger the calendar will appear.
You might find it easier to use our Visual Block instead of the shortcode because that will take care of the sizing itself (in most cases).

In reply to: [Tockify Events Calendar] Tried to install via add plugins and got an errorThanks – I’m glad you managed to install it.
It’s 3 months since the last update to the plugin and lots of people have used it since then so we think the plugin is packaged properly.
I can’t explain what happened but we’ll keep our eyes open for similar reports in case we’re missing something.
We appreciate the report.

In reply to: [Tockify Events Calendar] Disable fullscreen for details of eventHi,
Thanks! – We’re glad you like it.
There’s no way to make that overlay smaller at the moment but this might help.
If you go to the mini-calendar customizer here: https://tockify.com/i/upcomingCustomizer?tab=basics and check the box labelled Show event details inline (no overlay popup) then the event details will appear in the same place as the calendar. That’s much smaller so the sizing should be more like what you’re looking for.
I hope that helps.

In reply to: [Tockify Events Calendar] User submitted eventsHi Lisa,
I know we already answered the email you sent to Tockify Support with the same question but I’ll repeat the answer here in case anybody else needs it:
We don’t support repeating submitted events at the moment I’m afraid.
The problem is that with repeating events the event submitter often needs to come back and make changes as time passes and as of now we have no way for them to do that.
We do expect to support that in a future release (probably later this year but I can’t give you a guaranteed timeline).

In reply to: [Tockify Events Calendar] How to use? Account on Tockify needed?Hi,
Yes, Tockify is an external calendar service. This WordPress plugin is just an adapter to make it blend seamlessly into WordPress sites.
That means we can’t use your WordPress login to identify you. Instead we have our own account system that identifies people (which we need to do so that you and only you can edit your calendar).
Accounts are free and there’s a free version of the calendar which you can use for as long as you like at no cost – the subscription versions are far more functional/customizable though.
Our support email is [email protected] – you’ll get faster answers there.
I hope that helps.

In reply to: [Tockify Events Calendar] Hide Widget When EmptyHi Manek,
Sorry about the very slow reply – we do almost all support by email (I can see that you’ve been in touch that way now) and although we check in here regularly your question was missed somehow.
To answer the question: There’s no way to completely hide the mini calendar if it’s empty at the moment. It’s an interesting idea though – we’ll give it some thought.
Please follow up with Tockify Support by email if this is still something you’re interested in.

In reply to: [Tockify Events Calendar] Premium features not clearly notedHi Eric,
Apologies if the differences between the free and premium versions were unclear, that’s not our intention.
When people are trying the premium version we display a prominent purple bar at the bottom of the page reminding them of the fact that it’s a trial and linking to a page that compares the features. That list makes it clear that recurring events are a premium only feature – as far as we know all difference are listed there.
If you’re working for a non-profit or something like that please contact Tockify support (details here: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/tockify-events-calendar/#faq ) and they’ll probably be able to help.

In reply to: [Tockify Events Calendar] Front-end submissions and recurring eventsHi,
Tockify calendar is a standalone service that exists outside of WordPress.
This plugin is an adaptor that makes it easy for people to use it with WordPress. There are many such adaptors, e.g. those for YouTube and Twitter.
As with other such adaptors, e.g. the one for Disqus, the features you get correspond to the plan (including free plan) that you have for the service.
The free plan doesn’t include Submitted events.
The free plan does include the monthly and pinboard views but only lets you use them as standalone pages whereas it lets you embed the agenda view.
Sorry if this was confusing – we do make it clear that there are free and subscription editions but can’t get into a detailed comparison on the WordPress site without breaking the rules. The comparison table on our site that you referenced is the best place to look.
I hope that helps.

In reply to: [Tockify Events Calendar] This is not plugin and very hard to use…Hi,
If you set the language to Slovak we will use the Slovak Date format and a full Slovak translation of the whole calendar.
I’m sorry this wasn’t clear. We’d have been happy to assist you if you had asked about it in the support section.
Tockify is a plugin. Like many plugins, e.g. those for embedding YouTube video, Twitter feeds, it is an adaptor for an external service, but it is seamlessly integrated into WordPress – maybe that’s what you were trying to say?

In reply to: [Tockify Events Calendar] Adds blank “Custom Plugin Menu” link under SettingsSorry about that and thanks for pointing it out.
We have a major release coming imminently (hours not days) that adds support for WordPress 5/Gutenberg and will fix this problem at the same time.
I’ll write again with a brief note when that’s live.

In reply to: [Tockify Events Calendar] Not a plugin!Hi Joey,
There are lots of plugins that let you embed external services. Examples include plugins for embedding YouTube video, Twitter feeds and our calendar.
There are countless others.
Services like ours weren’t built for WordPress but, as you might expect, WordPress is happy to see them integrated.
Surely there are better ways to learn about this sort of thing than giving misleading 1 star reviews.
