    Hi,

Tockify is generated by Javascript as your page renders on the client so in general server side caches shouldn’t cause a problem as long as the cache doesn’t remove our embed code.

Perhaps W3 Total Cache is trying to pre-render on the server and cache the result or something along those lines. That would cause a problem because Tockify is a live client-side program, not just a piece of static HTML.

I think W3 Total Cache is able to exclude individual pages from the cache and I recommend that you do that for your events page for now.

I’m going to install WP Total Cache in a test system and will follow up with anything I learn by doing that.

    I hope that helps.

Hi Rich – apologies for the delayed reply – we do most of our support on our own site. I’ll answer anyway in case you didn’t already figure it out.

Tockify is completely isolated from the CSS and other code on the host site: there are no known clashes with theme code.

To move to WordPress all you need is this plugin and the short name of your client’s calendar which goes in the shortcode this plugin provides.

There are no charges for moving so if your client already has a subscription to the premium version that will be unaffected.

    Hi Alsa,

We looked into this for you and saw the same problem.

We’ve released a fix for it now so if you upgrade the Tockify plugin to version 1.3.5 (or later) and re-activate it everything should be ok.

The problem was caused by an inadvertent clash with a global variable that doesn’t occur in more recent WordPress versions.

Sorry about that and thanks for making us aware of the problem.

    Hi Alsa,

I’m sorry to hear that. I’m not sure which other topic you’ve seen this on – we’re not aware of the problem.

We’ll look into this in case we’ve done something that breaks very old WordPress versions (version 3.6 is 5 years old) by mistake and report back.

For now though I recommend upgrading to a more recent WordPress version if you can. 4.9.5 is the latest version.

I expect you’ll run into more and more problems if you stay on 3.6 because plugin makers are dropping support for it so upgrading is a really good idea.

    Hi,

Apologies for the delayed reply – we do most support via our site.

Tockify isn’t built with WordPress technologies – the plugin just wraps an external system, so there’s no WPML support I’m afraid.

There’s no known issue with the Elementor builder but if you’re seeing one we’d like to help.

    Hi,

You can do that using the setting labelled “default calendar layout” at the top of the basics tab of the calendar customizer tool: https://tockify.com/i/customizer?tab=basics

I hope that’s what you needed.

You can migrate your existing calendar to your new WordPress site like this:

    1) Go into the Weebly settings and get your calendar short name – it’s in the dropdown box in the control panel.

    2) Use our WordPress shortcode wherever you want the calendar to appear. The code looks like this:

    [tockify component=”calendar” calendar=”CALENDAR-SHORT-NAME”]

Replace CALENDAR-SHORT-NAME with the short name for your calendar that you looked up above (not in capitals).

That’s all. Please let us know if you have any other questions.

    Hi Jeroenla,

There’s a live demo on the Tockify homepage: https://tockify.com

By default only the calendar owner can submit events but we have a user submitted events system too. If you use that then other people can submit as well. They won’t appear in your calendar unless you approve them. There’s no way to restrict access to users of a certain ‘rank’ but it is up to you how public you make the user submitted events form URL.

I’m not sure what you mean by “are events clickthrough” but maybe the demo on our homepage will help with that.

    Hi Curtis,

I’m sorry you feel deceived. Let me point out a few things that might convince you that wasn’t the intention.

Tockify is a standalone calendar system, it wasn’t built for WordPress and most of our users come from other places.

There are free and subscription versions of the calendar as anyone who visits our homepage to create an account (as you have to) can see that from the plans link at the top.

Our WordPress plugin is a simple adaptor to make it easy for people with Tockify calendars to add them to WordPress. It is free and can show any Tockify calendar. The one in the screenshots is our demo calendar.

We don’t advertise our subscription plans in the WordPress directory because as far as I’m aware advertising would violate the directory’s terms of use.

We get many thousands of signups per month and usually 1 or 2 complaints that the pricing wasn’t clear. That’s fewer people than write confused that it doesn’t come pre-filled with events so I don’t think it’s a big problem.

I’ll read though the terms again and if possible modify the copy in our plugin description to make it clear that there is a paid version as early as possible. We’re not hiding anything and have nothing to gain by doing so – it only frustrates people.

I don’t think you could change your star rating now even if you wanted to so convincing you or otherwise of our intentions gains us nothing. I just wanted to put the record straight.

    Hi Dave,

Did you get a resolution to this?

We still haven’t been able to repeat it but are keen to understand what’s happening so that we can prevent it from affecting anyone else.

We’ll work with you to figure this out if you’re still having trouble.

    Hi Dave,

    Sorry to hear that.

We’re not aware of any problem – the latest plugin is loading and working in our test environments including the one for WordPress 4.5 which just came out.

Which version of WordPress are you using?

    Hi Boris,

Sorry this is so late – we handle most support directly via [email protected]

If you go to and log in/create an account you’ll see a prominent link to the calendar editor.
