In reply to: Uploads not recognizedHandySolo, I’ve found out an existing topic about it here:

Look at what damino said.
Seems I’m not the first that had that idea. ??
Even so, do you think I should repost the topic?

In reply to: Uploads not recognizedAh yes, that’s easy. But by doing things that way the files won’t appear on Manage/Uploads, will they? That’s exactly my complaint. I’d like them to be editable via WP control panel after uploaded via FTP, that’s what I suggest the code guy(s) to consider. It’s certainly not so difficult to implement, is it?
Thanks for your reply above.

Thank you so much!

In reply to: Uploads not recognizedDamn! It’ll force me to upload HUNDREDS of other images ONE BY ONE! What a pain…
Well, if WordPress developer(s) is(are) reading this, please think on turning WP able to recognize files uploaded via FTP. I’m sure you wouldn’t like to face the challenge I’m going to face for not being able to FTP them.
Thanks drmike.

In reply to: WordPress doesn’t see existing databaseJust for record: I’ve solved the problem deleting the database, creating a new one and importing the backup copy.
It’s clear for me that that’s another bug to be added to WordPress’ laundry list.
End of case.
Thanks for your attention.

In reply to: WordPress doesn’t see existing databaseMichaelH,
I don’t know where the problem can possibly be, reason why I don’t know what else can I do and why I’m asking for help.
The actual database is still there, I have access to it via phpMyAdmin.
Even though ‘DB_NAME’, ‘DB_USER’ and ‘DB_HOST’ are correct in wp-config (according to phpMyAdmin), WordPress still doesn’t see the database. I don’t know why.
Could you (or anyone else) suggest me other checks I can perform?
Is there a way to “reset” WordPress or something?
Thanks in advance.
