Well, a very quick new update was rolled out – Storefront 1.5.3.

I have upgraded and some of the Custom CSS from my Blank Child Theme is now working, but other things (like color of the text links, for example) are inherited from the original master Storefront theme. I tried to tweak this in Storefront Customizer (Typography), but the settings there have no effect and regretfully for some reason I cannot change the color.

The other important thing is that with Storefront 1.5.3 (as well as with 1.5.2) I cannot use my local language pack. It had loaded automatically but now there are english words and phrases (like ”items”, “posted by”, etc.)

After upgrading to Storefront 1.5.2 on Sunday, my site is a total mess. Some plugins became unstable with my child theme (like Print PDF Invoices and Packing lists) and the only way to fix those issues seems to not use my blank child theme at all. ??

I wonder how to proceed…?

Regretfully, I am totally lost with this new custom code. I pray for an update which will revert back the old functionality of Storefront where everything was nice and easy and all custom css was loading automatically.

I hope that the child theme’s stylesheet will be loaded automatically.

The same goes for local language packs.

Everything else (manually enqueing something) is a potential reason for problems, at least to me. Right now I am confused where and what code to place…

Yes, translations are managed on www.ads-software.com, which probably means that one can contribute to Storefront theme translation on www.ads-software.com. One can suggest new versions of diferent words and phrases, etc.

But how to connect a local language pack to Storefront with the new update… well, this is not clear to me.

Still, the main issue is with the Custom CSS of a child theme – it is not working (loading).

I had to revert back to the previos version of Storefront theme 1.5.1 in order to get my Custom CSS from my child theme back. I deleted Storefront 1.5.2 and installed 1.5.1.

There is another issue with Storefront theme 1.5.2 – it stopped working with my local WordPress language pack. It displayed all words in English here and there, but I use a local language pack for my WordPress installation.

I am using version 1.1.1 with Storefront Theme. Regretfully, the option “Display products in same category” does not work properly on my site.

When the option is ON, it shows the correct product names (left and right) but with wrong product pictures. The links to products from the same category are correct, but the product pictures shown are those which must be displayed if the option “Display products in same category” is OFF.

Can you please check this bug? How can I help?

I have overwrited the new files over the old one and now it seems that there are no errors in Google Rich Snippets Tool.

I am talking about the ratings widget. I put it again in the sidebar and when its in the sidebar (I have not tested somewhere else), it generates the error:

“Error: No rich snippet will be generated for this data, because it appears to include multiple aggregate reviews of many items, instead of a single aggregate review of one item.”

Just to add that the error…

…is triggered only when there is a widget activated (in the sidebar, for example).

Without the widget there is no such error.

So, the widget itself is great, but regretfully it’s triggering a nasty rich snippet error.

I made the change – now everything shows correct in Google Rich Snippet Tool.

You should consider making a premium wordpress rating plugin. I think there is a great demand in this field. Make it like Amazon rating system, for example, and I believe you”ll be on a very right track.

Currently I have absolutely the same issue like celula above.

I saw that you have already marked the issue as “Fixed” in GitHub, but in fact the problem persists. I’m getting “Error: If count is specified in review aggregate, page should contain reviews. Otherwise you may want to use votes”.

Basically the page you are pointing to is telling me to put a fresh installation but I have done exactly this with my last upgrade.

Just to mention that the problem is under the latest versions of Firefox and Chrome. I have tested in IE – the same problem persists.
