In reply to: BRAND NEW TO WORDPRESS – Increase CommentsI hate to ask the obvious, but what does SEO and IMO stand for
Sorry, sure – SEO stands for Search Engine Optimisation. The process of optimising a website so that it ranks higher in Google etc. This includes internal and external factors. SEOMoz do a great beginners guide.

In reply to: Problems in IE9Upgrading to a new WordPress versions shouldn’t affect the theme files.
The only issue I noticed in IE was that as soon as it tries to render the menu and heading non standard web fonts, the fonts disappear.

In reply to: My New Photography Site…..Comments welcomeI like it – clean, clear, easy to use. A small thing – the text “LANDSCAPES | TRAVEL | PORTRAITURE” is hard to read.

In reply to: BRAND NEW TO WORDPRESS – Increase CommentsI don’t think plug-ins will do much to help attract comments – most people for example won’t know what commentluv is.
Good ol’ fashioned SEO is your best way forward IMO – make sure your site’s content is well optimised and work on your inbound marketing – link building, social media etc.

In reply to: New Condo Launch WebsiteSite looks nice but your main images seem to take too long to load – have they been optimised at all? Also, can’t select the text or right click, which I find annoying.

In reply to: Real estate websiteI think I know what the above commenter means about the font… I’m not sure what font you’re using for the main paragraph text but it’s like there’s too much spacing in between each character.
From a design point of view I think most of your site looks well designed and professional and there’s a clear call to action.
Quick SEO tip – you could have the text in your header as plain text rather than embedded in an image.

In reply to: My new WordPress blogI would check your site in multiple browsers – the featured posts area looks distorted and a lot of white space where there shouldn’t be any.
I think your placement of ads makes your site look less professional and it gets in the way of content. If using ads, try and use them sparingly or at least try and integrate them within the design of your site better.

In reply to: Help with being featured on Google. If I copy and paste your full URL into Google, it comes up #1 spot so you don’t have a problem with being indexed.
I reckon you should probably focus on getting inbound links as I can’t see anything too problematic with your content from an SEO point of view.
SEOMoz run a number of good articles on SEO, with ideas on inbound linking.

In reply to: My first blog ever. Any tips? Site seems slowYour site seem to load fairly quickly, though if you’re on shared hosting with GoDaddy, you’ll never get to the speeds that dedicated or VPS hosting can offer.
It seems like a good score for Google page speed – however as I understand it, this tool will look at all elements on your page to see what can load faster rather than the time it takes for a website to respond.
