I learned in the process that it’s possible to selectively restore a backup. I had written a few posts since my last backup, and there had been a lot of comment discussion during that week, and I lost none of it. Very thankful for that.

The same thing happened to me. I think I’m going to have to restore from backup. I’d like to know another answer since that loses me a week of data.

I’ve just tried it with a different theme. It works that way. Apparently that’s where the problem is.

I’ve done both those steps previously. It happens with all plugins deactivated, and it happened after re-installing the upgrade. Thanks for checking in with me.

I did a search on it in various ways and only found one instance in all theme files.

But I’ve also installed Jetpack now, and it’s functioning properly that way. I’m content with that, though I’m still curious what was going on…

2.1.1.0 seems to have fixed it for me. I’m waiting for word from blog readers, but based on my own test, so far so good. Thanks.

Never mind… I just found out that there was a reference to a non-functioning web page in the footer. Removed it, and that fixed it.

Something else has disappeared from last night’s post, too. The way my blog is structured (https://www.thinkingchristian.net), I thought the feed would probably show up at /feed/podcast/ , but it isn’t…

That’s not a big problem to me, but I thought it might be useful information for you.
