    Hi,

Thanks for the comments, I will take a closer look and update. wp_login_url() came in in WordPress 2.7. DiaryPress is many years old now. I will give it a refresh.

    All the best,

    Hi heebeha,

It depends how you split the users. If they all had their own blogs in there own wordpress install then yes diarypress would work. I have never tested in a multi site but can’t see why it would not work.

    Hope this helps,

    Tom.

    Hi Ronald,

Are you saying you want to just protect one page within a single wordpress site or did you want to use it on a wordpress multisite installation?

The plugin itself was originally designed to protect an entire single wordpress site as the assumption was that the entire site would be the diary.

I could improve the plugin to work with multisite so the default site is not protected if this is what you are after? Or did you mean just the blog part of the site? I will also improve the documentation to make it clearer during my next update also. Let me know and I will have ago for you.

    Thanks,

    Tom.

    Hi Omigosh,

    Thank you for your feedback.

The first couple of sentences in the description say “DiaryPress is a plugin designed to allow your blog to operate like a private diary. It will ask you to login in order to access the content” I’m not sure how I could make it clearer? What would you suggest to make it clearer to WordPress users?

The plugin itself is deigned for very specific use cases, such as those who want to use WordPress as a private diary that is not accessible to the public. Its safer to use WordPress than keep a paper diary under a pillow!

I am currently developing new features at the moment including controls to customize the screen within the WordPress admin panel.

    Cheers,

    Tom.

    Hi Pauline,

Sorry its taken me so long. I only just seen your post I will subscribe so I can get back to you quicker in future.

DiaryPress works by showing you a screen when you are not logged in. This prevents other people from seeing your wordpress content. This is handy if you use wordpress as a diary.

In terms of settings. I am planning on making a settings screen in future but the easiest way is to edit the diarypress.php file with your own message. If you goto /wp-content/plugins/diarypress and find diarypress.php and open it in your favorite editor you will be able to edit the message it displays including adding a picture if you want. It accepts standard html.

I hope this helps. Please let me know if you need any other advise.

    Kind regards,

    Tom.

I wonder as Oracle have now bought sun if this will ever happen!
