Hi and thank you for your reply!
I totally agree with you that a database of max. 250MB is way too small. Unfortunately I am only offering the client maintenance services, while they chose their host when they had their website built years ago. They also contacted me to fix their database size, which went way over 250MB.
Eventually I got that fixed, but then after a Woocommerce update the issue popped up again. For now, I believe I was able to fix the ever growing database, combined with your plugin. I might even try to set the interval to a longer time than the current 1 hour optimization.
I want to thank you for your extended explanation, which I hopefully don’t need anymore.
Cheers and thanks!
TomNo need to bother anymore, since you decided overnight to make the country and language block/allow settings only available for the PRO version. I’ll look for another plugin.
Cheers,
TomHi @yonifre and thanks for your reply. I’ll attach a screenshot (I blacked out some privacy data stuff) and also paste the text from the message here, as it’s cut off in the log. I’ll also paste the list of forbidden words I’ve set. All blocked messages were from countries and in languages that are not blocked in the settings (The Netherlands/Dutch and Germany/Message was in English).

I’m also suddenly getting messages being blocked due to “Forbidden language exists” although there are no blocked words being used. Seems to have started sometime after the last update as far as I can track in the logs.

In reply to: [Dynamic Front-End Heartbeat Control] ErrorHi @Codeloghin,
My apologies for the late reply, unfortunately I got sick and then a bunch of work piled up. The update to version 1.2.8 was already performed and I just checked my logs, and there it seems to show the latest critical error on the 4th of December and nothing after that anymore. So the issue seems to be fixed, at least for now, but I’ll keep checking every now and then.
I do have another question: When I check the DFEHC settings, I noticed the Redis settings were not correct, so I changed the IP and port to the correct one. I just don’t know what the Redis Unix Socket is and if that needs to be changed, and if so, where I could possibly find this?
Thanks again!
Cheers,

In reply to: [Dynamic Front-End Heartbeat Control] ErrorHi there Codeloghin,
My intention for using your plugin was to get the server load down, especially the CPU usage which constantly spiked to 100%. Cloudways hasn’t been my best experience, even after scaling up to DO4 I was having the same issue, not even to mention that the server can’t handle more than 30-35 concurrent users, which is ridiculous if you look at their pricing. I have cheap hosting that can handle more concurrent users.
So I moved that site back to my shared hosting, which loads slower I admit, but at least users don’t get to see a database error because the server can’t handle simple tasks. The website is https://www.carcoholic.com.
I did notice another error in my logs this morning, so it would be great if you could have a look at this:

In reply to: [Dynamic Front-End Heartbeat Control] ErrorHi there Codeloghin,
Happy that I could provide some help in this matter, and thank you very much for the credits as wel as your comprehensive explanation of how the plugin works and compares to the other one. Cloudways helpdesk told me to just set everything to 200… which already seemed a bit weird to me as a ‘set and forget’ setting.
I have replaced it with your plugin, which seems to work fine now and doing its job.
Thanks again and I’m looking forward to future updates!
Cheers,

I am running the Heartbeat Control by WP Rocket plugin now, without issues. But I’d also like to know the advantages of your plugin over the WP Rocket one.
Cheers and thanks!
TomHi Shravan,
Thanks for your reply. I have added the code to my functions.php, but it doesn’t seem to make a difference. My Woocommerce pages are built with Jetwoobuilder and not with the standard Woocommerce templates or Woocommerce shortcodes, so I guess this won’t work for me.
I’ll consider changing to the standard Astra Pro pages and see how well I can get the pages styled the way I want and make the variation swatches work on those pages.
Cheers,
TomHi and thank you for taking care of this issue. All is working fine now.
I have adjusted the stars of my previous review.

Oh wow that sounds bad… apart from the ability to revert it’s always good to have a back-up when things don’t work out by reverting to a previous version.
I have updated a bunch of other sites to 3.1.0 this morning and didn’t have any issues there, so it’s really weird what happened to the first one.
